I have a beautiful house, but have found that since starting to actually use the kitchen that it is way too small. It would be so cool if I actually won!

GOOD LUCK ! We just built our house last year so everything is new. Plus, our kitchen cost more than what the contest offers. So, we me out of the running, your chances are improved.

I didn't enter because I felt my kitchen looks a little dated, but good. It just doesn't function, and that doesn't show up in pictures as well. I figureed they'd be looking for one that showed the most POW in the before and after pictures. Nnow had we not already gotten rid of the teal and lavendar wallpaper, I'd have been right in there. Good luck

Christine, I'm with you, although my kitchen is neither beautiful, nor large. It's about the size of a broom closet:Þ It would be very cool to win, but I'm looking forward to see the finished makeover even if it isn't mine. May the worst kitchen win!

I am going to enter. I just need to take pictures. I figure I have a fair shot at it, I hope. I'm dying to get rid of those red/orange formica countertops I have!

luvtocook, I hate to be the bearer of bad news.... but the deadline for entries was May 31. I guess you'll have to wait until next year - can you hold out that long with those countertops??

funnybone, I am SO jealous of your kitchen - it sounds wonderful. Enjoy it!

djoygirl, good luck. It's weird, deep down inside I just KNOW that I am going to win http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif of course that means I'll be heart broken when I don't. My pictures came out great - the kitchen looks so small. My big plug in the letter was that my adjacent laundry room has been transformed into a pantry (due to the kitchen's small size). It would be so easy to knock out that wall and combine the two rooms into one huge kitchen. Hopefully that is the kind of POW before/after pictures they are looking for.

I entered too. Of course, I hope I win, but I'm trying not to count on it. I have the opposite problem of most people--a huge kitchen with no place for counters or cupboards. It's all floor space and doors. I have 6 doors and 2 windows opening off my kitchen! It would be so great if they choose mine, and we could figure out how to turn it into more useable space. Right now I have one little corner where I can cook and then I have to walk all the way across the kitchen (about 10 feet) to get to the sink.

I guess this contest is different from the one that closes on June 30th?! I just happened to notice it in the magazine. I didn't pay attention to it before.
