OK am I the only one who watches Stephens face when someone else wins something? And the way he holds his hands when he's not doing anything-it's weird. I think he's creepy.
I'm losing my Harold love. His ego will be his downfall although it's not as obnoxious as Stephen and Tiffani's.
Tiffani seems to have done a 360 in the attitude department.
I tried and tried and tried to come up with a Japanese/Latin street dish. Japanese food isn't all raw fish. They grill on skewers-think yakitori. You could do skewers of meat and veggies with latin spices and use the jicama in a salsa with some fruit and yuzu juice.

I agree Stephen is creepy! He has that look like he has a permanent turd under his nose he's trying not to smell. He definitely looked odd parading around the neighborhood in his suit & tie, trying to offer everyone food! And the banana leaf concoction at the microwave party was ridiculous.
I also agree Tiffani has done a 180 in the personality department, maybe she 'got it' after the week she had immunity where they said they would have fired her. I do think she'll be a final contender if she can keep it in check. And I thought she & Dave worked amazingly well together, which I didn't expect! I like Dave, he just needs a calming influence to stay grounded.

Stephen's face is like an automobile wreck. You HAVE to look. (LOL) Well, he and Lee Anne stepped it up and actually was in the winning group from a flavor standpoint. But I think it was more Lee Anne and her Char Siu pork that did it. (I still think he's style over substance)
I think Tiffani's wakeup call worked! She definitely has done a 180 and it shows. She seems a bit more relaxed and having more fun too.
I'm amazed at what Miguel tried to do to Andrea. And the look on his face when he realised that if his team lost, he would be the one leaving as Andrea had immunity. He went into self preservation mode I think. Time for him to realise how serious this is getting. Or maybe he did at that moment he tried to throw Andrea under the bus. But I don't think Andrea will last much longer because she won't do much to adapt her style. I really think it was her or Lisa from an elimination standpoint and since she had immunity it had to be Lisa. Too bad as I really liked Lisa and thought she was holding her own pretty well although she had been at the losers table more than once.
At first I really respected Harold. I still do in that he won't waver from his beliefs, but I've lost some respect for him for the same reason. Chefs are all about their customers and if he can't figure that out, he will be gone I think.
It was good to see Dave so happy. Boy does he ride the emotional roller coaster. His emotions are right out there on his sleeve for all to see.
I wonder if they have any more team events planned? I think it's getting down to individuals now and they would start to go away from the teams.

I really enjoyed the quickfire challenge. I certainly wouldn't have know most of those flavors. I thought it was great that Stephen did so poorly while Andrea ran off with the win. Hilarious.

I agree completely! Fun to watch and I was happy for Andrea. And I loved the contestants' own snackmaster challenge, too!
Okay, did anyone else hear one of the judges, I think Gail, upon tasting Miguel & Andrea's dish say, "Wow, this is really good!" ?? And then Colicchio said the rice was bland. I know it didn't fit in as true street food, but when they were called in as bottom two, the judges made it seem as though the food had no redeeming qualities when in fact, someone had said how great it tasted. And what was with Mr. Guest Judge's language during the judging...."It's a f***in' burrito, you stick sh** in it and roll it up!"
This was the first week that I really wanted to taste ALL the dishes!

I agree. I think whenever they start thinking that they are going to "educate" the customer they are in trouble.
Stephen's whole thing about being in the top 3% of everything he's done is just... just... I can't even think of a word to say what that is. I guess he's not counting personal skills or selling or appealing to the customer or teamwork or microwave abilities or self-awareness or ..... I could go on!
AGAIN Miguel decided to use someone else's idea other than his own and AGAIN he was burned. The first time was when he went with Tiffani's idea for a Crispy Creme Bread Pudding for the Gas Station Challenge and now this. He either needs to be more creative or be more confident in his creativity.

For me, I'm "losing the love" for Miguel. I thought he was highly competent, had a good attitude and fun spirit, but now...not so much. The copy-cat thing, relying on Andrea -- ANDREA... and then throwing her under the bus. At least Harold showed a high degree of integrity vis-a-vis his partner.
I do think he (Harold) has kind of duped a lot of people (including me) because he's handsome and low-key and soft-spoken...but as I posted on last week's thread, he's still arrogant and has a bad attitude - just more measured in his approach.
Nothing new to say about Stephen, but I don't really blame him personally for being so awful. I'd like them to put his PARENTS on the show. Every gawd-awful 20-something I had to work with had parents much more despicable than the kids.
Dave'll never make it through, but he's definitely one of the most likeable (IMO) and empathetic people on the show. To me, the "I'd like to have him living next door" sort. ...and was Tiffani actually dabbing tears when Lisa was sent packing?
Still putting my money on Lee Anne!

PS: I agree that Chef Mike (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/01/29/CMGDOGFIKI1.DTL) was harsh, but language aside, I didn't find him anywhere NEAR as arrogant/smug/self satisfied and clueless as last episode's "Chef Jefferson". He was criticial and judgmental, but not a complete a.h. --at least he had relevant criticism and is the chef of an actual noted restaurant, not the fry-cook at a ridiculous "ladies who lunch" spot in a flippin' department store.

Definitely AGREE (and thanks for posting that link)!!! I just thought it was kind of crazy/funny that he was dropping so many f-bombs. I can't wait for another episode....I really am hooked on this show!
