I'm starting this, but you'll all have to carry on w/o me 'cause I'm heading to the airport in a couple of hours - Santa Fe, baby!

So, I'm busy packing and getting my stuff together. And fighting the beginnings of a cold. And already missing my boys, who are at Grandma and Grandpas having a blast, being fed donuts, cake, and soda pop. This is not the Mom that raised me! "No, you can't have pop you'll ruin your dinner. No snacking you'll ruin your dinner. No donuts, they are bad for your teeth!" No my kids walk in the door and she unveils a cake and says, "Want a piece?" while I look at her in shock and horror.

I'm thinking that I can't wait to be a grandma :D

Everybody enjoy!

Deb you can be my grandma if I get to have a calorie free donut :D

Have a great time in Santa Fe!!! It's one of the places on my long list of places to go, so please report back!

Not too much exciting going on for me. I have Curves in about a half hour (I'm leading the power hour today) and by the looks of it today promises to be crapola outside so it will most likely be a chore day...trip to TJ's (YAY!) and then some more work on the hallway. I will be so glad when we are done on the hallway as it seems to have taken forever. It's been Scots week in NYC all this past week and we may go into the city tonight for a little revelry.

Tomorrow if it's nice we are hitting six flags before the school kids are out for the summer...woo! If not, we will probably do a movie thang.

Have a great weekend everyone!

'Morning Debie and JeAnne. I'm up early for me on a Saturday. I'm about to head near downtown for a benefit 5K w/ my littler dog Peanut. I'm walking. This benefits the camp where the cancer camp I do each summer. It's always fun! Tonight I'm babysitting, and then I'm having lunch with a friend tomorrow.

Debie-Have fun in Santa Fe! I haven't been there since I was very young. Like JeAnne, that's on my list of places to go.
JeAnne, have fun :) doing house stuff. I finally got everything done on my housfe that I needed to do-after being here almost 6 years--and now it's for sale. :D

Have a great weekend everyone!

JeAnne - I wanna come hang with you! TJs AND Six Flags????? OMG - heaven. Which Six Flags? You'll have to tell me about the rides.

My mom says that donuts eaten before breakfast or after dinner don't have calories. :p  The boys LOVE her.

Morning Ms. Sooner - have a ton of fun on your walk! The camp sounds like a great opportunity for kids.

I'll give a full report when I return - I am really looking forward to this trip! So I better turn off the power here and GO!

Can't wait to hear about your trip, Debie! I'll be there (in Santa Fe/Albequerque) in just a few weeks. Looking forwad to a detailed report. :D

I'm actually headed your way (GR) in just a few hours. Too bad you won't be around. Girls Night Out - staying at the Amway, appointments for spa treatments - can't wait!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Morning all!

Debie,
Have a wonderful time in Santa Fe! We have never been but it is on our list of place to visit.

JeAnne,
Home repairs/updates are fun at the beginning and at the end, it's that middle time that makes you stop and wonder whose idea was this anyway? ;) Enjoy the revelry tonight!

Jen,
Enjoy your walk! You need to post a recent picture of Peanut.

Tonight is the final night for the saloon as a saloon and we're going out in style with Elvis, Jerry Lee, Roy Orbison and the Blues Brothers. The place will be rockin' around 9:00!! I am looking forward to a fun evening but it will be mostly work for me as I work the door from 8-11:30.

I have a very boring weekend lined up. DH has to work both days and so do I. Woke up with a headache, so I'm missing my Jazzercise class right now. And to top it off, it's raining, cold and miserable here in Baltimore. Where's that Spring weather and why does it always show up on Monday when I have to go back to work? I wish I was going to Santa Fe or Six Flags! ONly 10 more weeks till my Outer Banks, NC beach vacation. Can't WAIT!

Debie/Sandy - I went to Santa Fe 14 years ago and loved it. Would like to go back sometime. Enjoy your trip.

My mother doesn't spoil the boys with food...her evilness was when the boys were little and she would be them LOUD NOISY toys ;) But she is a great grandmother so all is forgiven.

Not much planned today. I need to start straightening the house. After 3 1/2 months without a cleaning service, I have someone coming on Friday :D but I need to have the boys dig out their rooms so she can clean (and not be frightened off ).

Going to dinner to night at the "M" restaurant. Masala for Indian fusion.

Other than that, I'm just waiting for the rain to end (but since it is the forecast for the next 10 days  , I'm not holding my breath)

Susan - I forgot to ask. How long before you turn the saloon into the new restaurant? Good luck with the plans....

The guys are thinking by the summer but I'm leaning towards September/October but then I'm a bit more pessimistic about work being done on time... ;)

It's PROM day here!

I don't know who is more nervous, me or DS. But judging by what the high school gym looked like a few hours ago, if I were the decorating committee I think I'd be tearing my hair out. They still had a l-o-n-g way to go when I dropped off my batch of cookies for the post-prom party... :o

Sounds like everyone has exciting weekend plans (or at least exciting plans to look forward to!) Enjoy!

Debie, hope you have fun in Santa Fe!

JSooner, I hope you have a good benefit 5k and make a lot of money for the camp.

JeAnne, have fun at TJs and Six Flags. Good idea about going before summer vacation.

Sandy, have fun at the spa and travel safely.

401k, I hope your headache goes away and the sun comes out. Here's to wishing the next 10 weeks goes by quickly for your vacation to the Outer Banks. I'm going there, too in early May, but it's to a wedding on Topsail Beach.

Sneezles, hope your bar night goes out with a bang. Wishing you a night as stressless as possible, and feet that don't hurt. :)

I have movie tickets to see V for Vendetta. I also have a jacket on hold at J Jill. I plan to do some cooking as well. I have some gorgeous bosc pears to make pear butter, and I found some baby cucumbers for pickles. I'm also dabbling in bread making and have to go to TJs for more supplies. :D

The 5K was fun! Saw lots of old friends and Peanut really enjoyed it as well. Everyone loves seeing her since she was rescued 3 years ago at the camp the 5K benefits.

mbrogier--I'm jealous of all the things you are making! Pear butter sounds wonderful.

JackieO--you should share Prom pictures! I can't believe it's already prom season; this school year has flown by!

Sneezles--I missed the news about the saloon closing! So your next venture is a restaurant? I can't wait to read details! How exciting.

Tyra--Indian fusion? Sounds interesting. Any good dates lately? :D

I just reread some of my post from this morning. Egads. I was half asleep apparantly. I'm appalled at the typos.

I'd better run--my house is being shown in about 1/2 hour so I have a few things to do first.

Oh, here's a current pic of Peanut. She's a happy dog. :)

Jennifer -- Peanut is a sweety! What a cute photo...

I am rather handicapped when it comes to posting photos, but trust me, everyone looked gorgeous today. The weather cooperated (well, for NE Wisconsin, anyway). The sun was out and warm and there wasn't much of a wind. Those junior girls can be vicious, though. DS's girlfriend is a sophomore and therefore was not part of the "club" at the mass gathering of juniors for photos. I made sure DS knew to tell the bit**es to ease up on his girlfriend during their limo ride/pre-prom dinner. And the rest of his tennis buddies showed up in white tuxedos. One of them truly looked like a pimp with black pin stripes and black-and-white shoes. Wonder what he'll be thinking in 25 years when he looks back on the photos??

Enough..I'm going to bed for a few zzz's before the post-prom arrivals and an early breakfast.

I'm beginning to think I might survive this....

Tyra--Indian fusion? Sounds interesting. Any good dates lately? :D

Dinner was excellent. I had chicken pakoras as an appetizer and then lamb kebab in a jade sauce (from the fusion side of the menu) as an entree. They have both regular Indian and the fusion Indian.

Nope, no new dates. One guy and I started off well, but he cancelled this week because of 'personal issues'. Will see if he calls when he gets back in town (went to see his daughter this weekend).
