I got the scoop on TJ's expansion plans when I was there yesterday. They plan to fill in along the I-90 corridor. Their immediate plans are to open in Glenview, IL; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Boston and Newton, Mass. They also plan to go south. Now they're as south as Virginia but they plan to go to Florida and then west from VA.

I picked up a sheet telling where they are presently located. If anyone wants to know where the nearest TJs is, just ask and I'll be able to give you a city and street address. (You can also call 1-800-746-7857)

Thanks for the scoop on TJ's. I've never actually been to one of the Trader Joe's stores but I have a friend that has brought me back wonderful things from their store (so far my favorite thing is the muffaletta, a chunky olive spread) when she goes to California. I can't wait to have one in my area!!

My DH is an acquaintance with somebody who is trying to convince TJ's to have an on-line market for their non-perishables. I told him about all of the BB'ers out there that would jump at the chance to shop TJ's on-line. Hopefully, they'll get the message! I know it's not as good as an actual store, but it's better than nothing.

I tried a teriyaki sauce that I bought at TJ's over the weekend. It's the Soy Vay brand Very Very Teriyaki. Both DH and I really liked it. DH usually thinks teriyaki sauce is too sweet, but was pleased with this one.
