Oh my, I'm still a Regie Fan, but....I don't know, who should be the next star???

I just voted for Guy. This was based on his pilot tonight. Neither Guy nor Reggie were my first choices for finalists.

Guy. That's who I just voted for. It was a tough decision for me. Reggie had grown on me, but in the end I was more impressed with Guy's pilot..that turkey dish sounds great! Guy's personality is great for television too.
I really got to like Carissa. I was sorry to see her go last night.
Andy!
No, really, I don't know! Guy is kind of endearing, but reminds me too much of Emeril. I think he would get old. On the other hand, he's done some fun, original recipes, and I haven't really seen anything of Reggie's that I would try, except for the soup he made the first night. Reggie is sweet and funny though.
Carissa was kind of growing on me too, but I was bothered by the way she was presented. Her bikinis and running atire don't have anything to do with being "Simply French."

I think Reggie is just a male version of Paula Deen, so I'm not sure that would fly. I say this because several times he's mentioned how much he likes sugar, butter and cream, and is Paula the same way?
Guy may be like Emeril in personality, but his "shtick" is different enough from Emeril's to have a place at FTV, so I'm voting for Guy.
I never did grow on Carissa...she just seems to have a bit of a condescending attitude towards others (not all the time, I just felt it every once in a while) especially when she has to work with others or the press. Plus, I'm not all that crazy about French food.
I wish, wish, wish there would have been someone who pitched a vegetarian show or some other ethnic show - my top choices would have been Indian or Thai...that is something dearly lacking in FTV's line up!

I lost interest when they booted Andy and didn't even watch.

I had never watched the show before, but since my beloved Grey's Anatomy was not on last night I watched the episode with the Pilots. I really liked Guy's better, but only because he explained more, ie, why not to let gralic burn, etc. With Regie, it was all "this will great" with no reasoning behind the steps in the recipe. However, they both have really dynamic, but drastically different personalities.

My vote went to Guy. Given the last two, it was an easy decision for me (don't get me wrong, I like Reggie just fine, but liked Guy better). Had Guy been up against Carissa (who really grew on me the last two episodes) or Andy (love his generous, thoughtful personality), it would have been harder. I think Guy has been the most consistent. I love this show. :D

I voted for Guy. I think he's a good teacher and his energy is different from the other people on the network. I like Reggie, but I think Guy would be a better host. I liked Andy too- he reminded me of Dave Lieberman, so I got a kick out of seeing him on the show.
I never cared for Carissa- probably because of her sexy introduction and her field trip segment about wine was really lame.

I have only seen a few segments, I am glad Guy made it to the finals I like Reggie too, but DH is right about Reggies pilot last night being bad , when he kept kept saying "You girls" it made me cringe. As for Clarissa, I didnt like her and couldnt put my finger on it, until I saw her with Sandra Lee last night, she reminds me of Sandra Lee. Now off to vote for Guy

I thought Guy stood out from day 1. I really like Reggie, but Guy has been consistently the best, imo.

I voted for Guy. I really liked Nathan even thought he came across as a bit too cocky--which I think is what hurt him. I think Guy will be fun to watch and different. I'm wondering if Food Network hasn't been looking for another bad boy to replace Anthony Bourdain...

I surprised myself by voting for Guy. He annoyed me at the beginning of the series but he toned it down just enough (I was glad he took Bobby Flay's advice and lost the jewelry). Guy's promo for his series was right on. I've lost interest in food programs that solely consist of demoing recipes. I want to be given some of the thought and technique behind the recipes and he did a good job of that.
If I were picking someone to have over for dinner, I'd vote for Reggie. He does seem like a genuinely nice guy. But I'd be more likely to watch Guy's show.
Of the four left at the end, I was glad the choice was between Guy and Reggie. Nathan was annoying from the beginning and never stopped being annoying. I admired Clarissa's efforts to learn and improve during the course of the series. In the end, though, I wasn't buying "Simply French" from the gal in the bikini talking about how sexy food was.
That said, I was really excited about watching Dan & Steve's show last year. I just don't have the same level of excitement about Guy's show.

Eh, I'm not crazy about either of them, I'm afraid. I also liked Andy.
Reggies recipe appealed to me more, Guy's talk was better. I wish both of them had a more healthful approach. If you could put Andy's persona and infomativeness with Guy's smooth and direct approach making Beth's healthy, beautiful food. I'd be there.
I do like the show though. Interesting to see how much goes into these productions.
