This is from the May issue. Probably the easiest cake I've ever made, and delicious. The cake was light and lemony the filling yummy. The only thing I would do differently is cook the strawberry sauce for less time - I had a lot less than 3/4 cup halfway through cooking time.
I recommend it.

If you like strawberry shortcake, you'll love this dessert. It is very light tasting and the cake is quite moist. I also did not have 3/4 cup of sauce left after the boiling process, and in fact added water into it at the end because it was too sweet. I agree that the cooking time should be reduced. Definitely a "10" in my book!

I also say yum...I made it for company and they raved! I would also cook the sauce less because it reduced quite a bit!
