I recently made a blog on Blogger. I would like to add the blogs I read regularly to the side. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

I went to Blogger help, but couldn't find a topic that matches what I want to do.

Please help me......I'm SO confused. :o

Hi Dee!

Blogger has a pretty good help page located here that should describe it in detail for you! Let me know if you need any more help or anything specific!

Thanks for the link. I've read it, reread it, tried adding a sidebar to my template and nothing...... :confused:

What I'm trying to do is have a section for links to blogs that I read. As you may be able to tell...I'm not that computer literate. I probably know just about enough to screw up my blog completely. :o (Is there an emoticon for steam coming out of your head when it's ready to explode????)

Oh well .....it's only my first day. Maybe I'll get better at this. The way I see it, I can't get much worse.

Without having it onscreen to walk you through it, I can say this much. You need to go into your dashboard and click on the template tab. You will see all kinds of html, now start to scroll down. Pat attention to the text. You will see a line that says "Begin sidebar wrapper" or "Begin Sidebar" (depending on your format. Now look for the 3 lines of text that include a google link, as well as two more that say "edit me". That is where you add your links. Use the edit-me's as your format and start plugging them in. Here, it looks like this:

<li><a href="http://news.google.com/">Google News</a></li>

That's what the google link looks like anyway. Just above that you will see something that looks like this:
<MainOrArchivePage>
<h2 class="sidebar-title">Links</h2>
<ul>

You can change the word "Links" to title your links section if you would like.
Once you change things a few times, the html starts to get familiar, and you'll have a much easier time changing things up. Have fun with it! I hope that helps.
