I got up very early and ran 2.75 miles. I hadn't exercised at all on Wed. and Thurs. due to an allergy med. mixup so I was glad to get back at it today. Who's next?

I'll second the Birthday Wishes :)
We had "Girls Morning Out" at the golf course this morning - what fun, and I hit the ball pretty well (for me) ;)

"Thirding" the happy birthday wishes, Martha!! :) Good job on the workout, too. Sheila, the golf game sounds great! Hi, Peggy!
Today I went for a hike and did an elliptical workout. :)

Happy birthday, Martha!!!!
I celebrated it for you in style. My favorite Friday evening class is back!!! It's called Extreme Body and is pretty much like working out with a personal trainer while in a group setting. We did EVERYTHING. Tomorrow morning, I'm sure I'll grown when I try to roll out of the bed. :o The cancelled the class at the end of December because of low attendance....hmmm...low attendance on Friday evenings during the month of December? Go figure.
Anyway...the class was awesome!!
Anyone else?

No workout to report, but I had to jump in and say
Happy Birthday, Martha! :)
Hope you had a great day! Did you do anything special?
Good job on the exercising everyone! Glad to hear your favorite class is back in business Melanie. Yea!
Sheila, the "girls morning out" sounds like fun. Hi, Peggy and Natasha!
I had planned to workout today, but the timing didn't happen and I got home much later than I thought I would. Had a very good day though, and I'll be back on the wagon tomorrow, or more likely the treadmill with all the rain we are having.
Have a great weekend all!

Hey, can I join Y'all?
I need to be more consistent with exercise and I find checking in works. I like the idea that y'all post and also the reminder, again accountability works for me.
This week I walked at least a half hour every day, except for Monday.
How do y'all take the time to exercise on a consistent basis?
How long does it take to build it in to your daily routine and what do you do if you have an off week? I will be consistent for weeks at a time and then have a week when I exercise only once or twice. Any tips?
I have DVD's and workout tapes to use on days when the weather will not permit me to go outside.
As we live on a pond we will be canoeing this summer and swimming.
Thanks for any ideas and support.

Welcome Lighthouselover! (I love lighthouses also). :) I also find this thread helpful for the accountability.
I build exercise into my schedule by trying to do it first thing in the morning before I get started on the rest of my day. I find that if I don't do it then, I tend to put it off and it doesn't happen. We have had a rotten year weatherwise so I usually workout on indoors on the Nordic Track. If the weather is nice, I may go on a walk with DH in the morning. I have hand weights and know I should use them but resist them. I just don't like doing weights. :(
I also do outdoor sports I enjoy such as golf, cross-country skiing and kayaking. Those I work in when I have the time in my daily schedule.
Glad to have you join us!
Peggy
P.S. Yesterday exercisewise, I painted my kitchen. Does that count???!!
