At the risk of stirring the pot...which must be done if we are not to burn the stew:
Who does not have a drop of immigrant blood?
Why is immigration for certain nationalities illegal?
For all the Christians out there: If we all come from Adam & Eve, why are we against any other human?
For all you evolutionists out there: If we are all homosapien, why are we against any other human?
Just my humble opinion and questions....

I think that immigration is only illegal if you don't have the proper paperwork... some people (Viet Namese, I know) can not even get visas, based on a background check. It is the people who come across the border/sneak into the country who are here illegally... jmo

Wow, first the foies gras thread and now this one, are you feeling argumentative today?
My thoughts on immigration are simply, we should control our borders better, and do the best we can to force people to come here legally.
I have no clue on how to handle the 12 million illegal immigrants who are already here. On one hand I recognized how tough it would be to send them back but on the other hand, its a slap in the face to those who have immigrated legally and gone through many difficulties to do it.

Oh, I'm not the only one who noticed?
The irony here is that just last week she started a thread wondering why people were talking so much about immigration here when there are more important issues.
Go figger.
