I grew up in Omaha! I haven't lived there in almost 20 years, but I know it's a really nice area and fairly affordable (of course I now live outside of Boston, so pretty much everywhere else feels affordable to me). I went to college there 15 years ago; I loved Omaha. Lots to do and very affordable. My brother and his family live there now; he says prices are going up, but I think they would compare well with other metropolitan areas. Most annoying thing...Saturdays in the fall when the entire state has a Husker nutty.
