Hey all,

I'm in charge of planning a stagette for a friend of mine to Seattle. We're in our late 20s and not really looking for a wild time, just a good fun girls weekend. We're from Vancouver BC and the plan is to drive down on a Saturday for a shopping excursion. We'll hit the outlets on the way down, stay in a nice hotel, have a nice dinner and maybe brunch and then shop in Seattle on Sunday before heading back.

Any ideas on on a hotel and a restaurant that are nice, but reasonably priced and close to each other?

I was thinking of Wild Ginger for dinner (or something similar, maybe $30 price range for an entree).

Thanks for your help.

Sandee

I love, love the Wild Ginger and that is what I was going to suggest until I saw you had even mentioned it, one of my favorite in Seattle.
There are several hotels near buy, The Crowne Plaza is right at the corner of Senica and I think 6th, that is close just a few blocks away. Another good restaurant is Palaminos it is also with in walking distance and they have the best "Lemon Drop" Martini's in the city. They are in the Union Square building.
The Hilton is Seattle is not worth it at all, rooms small and not that great. The Westin is OK. There are a lot of nice Botique (SP?) style hotels, like the Alexis.
I will try to log on tonight when I have more time and give you some web sites to check into.

I love this city, in fact I live here and we are having a "girls" weekend in the city in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the advice! Boutique hotels sounds like what I was thinking in my head but couldn't put a name to. :)

I'll start to check out those places.

We'll probably go to a lounge too after dinner before heading back to the hotel, so if anyone has any recommendations for that in the area as well, I'd appreciate it.
