Father's Day will be here next weekend and I want to make a special dessert for my Dad. Does anyone else cook for Dad or DH on Father's Day?

His favorite sweet things are chocolate and tapioca. I'm looking for a light but scrumptious dessert that won't keep me in the kitchen for hours. Any suggestions?

I'm considering Sept 2000's Individual Chocolate Souffles. Can anyone give me a review?

Thanks in advance...

P.S. I already made a recent CL coconut tapioca for him a few weeks back--it was really good and got thumbs up from the whole family.

I'm going to make a batch of my Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins for my dad. He loves them, and he's really hard to buy for because he has everything!

Well, if you like chocolate and coconut and you will love the German Chocolate Bundt Cake from that September 2000 issue. It was awesome. Almost brownie-like...it was so rich and dense and yummy. I doubled the amount of strusel because I love that part of the recipe so much.

Thanks to both of you for your recommendations. I went with the lightened version of the Texas Sheet Cake from several months ago and it got rave reviews. The family labelled it a "keeper," and they tend to be skeptical about lightened dishes. : )
