I saw "Best American Side Dishes" at Cost Co today and I spent almost 20 minutes trying to figure out what the dish on the Front Cover could be. It looks so great and I would love to make it. But nothing in the book fitted to the picture

Any Ideas?

Thank you so much!

Looks like roasted potato wedges and either sun dried tomatoes or red pepper slices to me...

That's actually what I thought too. I'll now just cut up potatos, add salt&pepper, some fresh rosmary and red bell pepper and just pour some olive oil over it and then throw it in the oven.... we'll see how this will taste :o

Usually there is a credit somewhere on the inside of the cover, or a few pages in telling you what the recipe is. I'll check it out at my Costco to see if they have it - you can never have enough cookbooks ;) :D

Well, what can I say I am now the proud owner of this book :D . They credit the photgraphs on the front and back cover, but don't say what they are. However, I think the cover recipe may be on page 280 - Greek Style Garlic-Lemon Potatoes with Sun-Dried Romatoes and Scallions. Great guess Lisa!

I am actually thinking about going back to Costco later today and buy the book :o I could need some more Side-Dish Recipes anyways. And above all, I love the Cook's Illustrated Books
