can anyone give me recommendations on good sites that I can upload my photos and then have my friends look at? I've looked at Snap fish and shutterfly....Thoughts...others...?

thanks!

I use Kodak Gallery ( formerly Ofoto ) and have been happy with them. I also have a good friend who uses PhotoWorks and is really happy with it.

If you are using it as backup storage you need to make sure that they store the photos at the quality level that you upload them.

That's my 2 cents!

I like Shutterfly for sharing because friends don't have to login to the site to view the photos.

For printing though, I only like Shutterfly if I turn off their special color enhancing tool. I prefer Ofoto/Kodak Gallery for printing.

I use clubphoto.com. I looked at all the options, and to me it seemed that clubphoto was the one that has the largest viewing size for the photos (if you click on "view large images"). Also, the caption size is unlimited. The drawback is that there is a period of time - I think it is 2 years - after which you can't view your albums anymore unless you pay a subscription fee (otherwise it is free). Whether that is a problem or not depends on how you plan to use it. If you want to see it in action, PM me and I will give you the "friends" password to my account.

I hadn't heard of clubphoto (will check it out), but I have various ways to put photos online discussed and listed on this page at my site:

Good luck!

I second ClubPhoto. I have been using it for a long time and I actually do a paid subscription. I am very happy with it. I am not sure of their current photo quality...I have not ordered photos in a long time from them because I bring a disc in locally and get digital prints printed in an hour.

I use it to share photos with my family who are all out of town. I also use it so I can post photos on the web easily.

They have a free subscription too which is perfect for photos on the web!
