View Full Version : Red Egg Party--Do I Take a Gift?
Help!!! I've been invited to a Red Egg party to celebrate the birth of a colleague's baby. It's being held at a Chinese restaurant at 1pm on a Saturday. Can anyone educate me regarding this Asian tradition? More importantly, does anyone know if it is customary for guests to bring gifts (for the baby/mother/both) to a Red Egg party? If so, what kind? Thanks in advance!!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/confused.gif K

Charlie--Thanks so much! That was a big help!! I learned a lot about Chinese culture (fascinating!) and I'm going to share the link with others in my office. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Bey,
You're welcome! Having spent time in the Orient, I have always marveled at the customs! I grew up in such a "white bread" family!
