I have no idea how to go about doing this, but I want to make one for a very elderly person. DH says he can download & burn the CD where he works. The CD will consist of extremely old music (hymns, big band, rag, etc.) & I have a list of songs, music & artists to search for. Here are my questions:

1) Where is the best place to begin a search for what I am looking for?
2) Do you think things of this age are out there to be downloaded?
3) Is all this in one place-- or will I be giving DH a list of sites & what is on those sites.

I am not very techno savy-- but DH is. My job is to get the preliminary work done.
Any other advice you may have for me will be very welcome. :)

You might try going to your local library and looking at their CD collection (assuming they have one). If you can find the music you're looking for on the library CDs, you can usually copy the selected cuts onto your computer (I'm assuming that these are older songs that will be found on older CDs that doen't have the protection against copying that today's might have) and then writing the tunes, when you have them all collected, onto your blank CD.

I've made many CD copies this way, usually entire CDs.

I have had a lot of luck with Itunes......and searching for stuff that is out of the norm. It might be worth a shot. It is really easy to use.
