Romantic Picnic was a success!

Thanks to everyone who responded to my query about picnic ideas. It was last night, and everything was beautiful.

We were sitting under the stars listening to the smooth sounds of Bebel Gilberto and Cesaria Evora. The menu was as follows: crusty bread, cheese, roasted eggplant spread, a spicy Asian noodle salad from Epicurious, marinated balsamic bean salad also from Epicurious, herbed potato salad from Vanessa (thanks!), strawberries, watermelon, and lemon cake. Oh and of course a bottle of vino....

So glad your picnic was a success!! Sounds like you planned a wonderful menu. Your post sparked the romance in me. My DH and I are at our cottage this week and the weather is beautiful.
