How will I ever survive without my Mastercook????

My laptop is broken AGAIN (6th time in 1.5 years) and it is being shipped out to Compaq YET AGAIN today! No Mastercookk for who know how long! How will I survive???

Kim...thats a bummer! How are you posting now? If you have another system at home then install MC on that one so it will be available to you.

Its actually kind of funny....The screen of my computer is out so my sweet DH hooked an old screen up to it and placed it on the piano bench next to the bed so I could have my final fix this morning before going to work. He did put QUicken on his computer so I could pay bills and if things get bad enough I may beg him to put Mastercook there too.....imagine the missed opportunties for importing great recipes!

What version of MC do you have on your laptop? I just got a wireless connection for mine (a pre-50th b'day present)and I love it! I can now go anywhere and read the BB or look at recipes. Good luck with your Compaq. After a few times major glitches with the one I used to have I got rid of it...

My husband says it's a "wireless local area network" (WLAN)...meaning there is a little box that sits on our main pc, and a card in a slot on my laptop, which allows me to pick up my laptop and go "cordless" around the house or out in the yard...still allowing me access to the net, the printer, files on the main pc, etc. It's terrific...I'm actually sitting in my kitchen right now reading the BB and typing...if you need specifics just let me know!
