okay what's up with the spiders? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif
I was looking at your profile when you mentioned one of your interests is spiders. Just curious!
You had to realize it was only a matter of time before someone asked. unless of course you have already been asked and I missed it? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Too much information on the way.....
My dad gave me a book on spiders when I was about 10, and ever since then, I've been sort of interested in them. Maybe "fascinated" would be a better word. Some might say "obsessed."
You should see my classroom: all kinds of cool spidery paraphernalia on the walls and shelves: posters, calendars, stuffed animals. On the bulletin board outside my room, I've drawn a spider web in chalk on black paper, and worked my name into the web. Kids ask "Do you like spiders?" I look innocent and say "What makes you think that?"
I've tried to resist at home, but I do have some very nice beaded spiderweb coasters, and there's a wrought iron spiderweb on the fireplace mantle. And some glow-in-the-dark plastic spiders here and there.....Ok, maybe I'm not resisting at home as well as I thought I was. People at work don't generally ask for my decorating advice. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
My boyfriend says he's never gone out with a woman who follows the statement "There's a big spider on your back," with "Here, let me get it for you."
I could just be weird.

joyous that's fascinating, I am as frightened of them as you are friends with them. Isn't it funny how people have different aversions to things. Now I am not frightened at all by snakes, I have had Boa Constrictors (sp) climb and wind all over me. I had one of these run up my neck and go thru my large loop earring (1970's) as he went thru his body was of course getting larger and he almost ripped my earring off my ear--pierced! So I didn't do that again. But I like all snakes, I do respect the ones that are poisoness and leave them alone.
Funny thing my big, strong, musculine DH is scared to death of any type snake. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
I bet you are a blast at Halloween http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/tongue.gif

Snakes are good, too. A former father-in-law sneaked up behind me and dropped his pet snake in my lap, hoping for screams. He was visibly disappointed when I started to scratch it under its little snaky chin and tell it how cute it was.
And yes, I do love those after-Halloween sales!
