So now I've had Pirate's Booty, Fruity Booty, and Smart Puffs, but I am intrigued by the list of other snacks made by Robert's American Gourmet--they have such fun names! Has anyone tasted any of the following? What did you think?

Cat's Claw Crunch
Potato Flyers
Power Puffs
Nude Food
Dude Food
Spirulina Spirals

Of the 3 types I've tried, I like Pirate's Booty the best. Smart Puffs were just too much like packing peanuts for me.

PS-This post should make me a Member--hooray!

I personally like potato flyers. I have not tried any of the others, though.

Great post! My boyfriend just mentioned how he liked the names of these other items. I'd love to know what others think of them. I re-stocked my booty supply (Pirate's, that is) today! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I like the potato flyers too. Haven't tried the rest, aside from pirates, veggie and fruity.

Here are others I have tried:

Personality Puffs - YUM! And they are lil people shapes http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Hot & Spicy Nude Food - Cajun Popcorn...very delicious and I ate the whole darn bag!

Veggie Booty - BLECH...I'll take real vegetables thank you.

Ginko Biloba Rings - Not funions but pretty good http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Rocket Chips - yummy but not good for you!!! I was very disappointed in RobGourmet for this one ;o

Pirate's Booty is still numero uno in my book.

I know many people buy Pirate's Booty from Trader Joe's.

We don't have a TJ's here, so I actually buy Pirate's booty at my local healthfood store.

I actually /like/ Veggie Booty as well -- not so much as a substitute for "real" veggies, but as a low-salt, low-fat alternative to other snacks (and I like the idea of added vitamins while I'm snacking). http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Sorry, JeAnne!

The spirulina spirals are also interesting -- and so VERY good for you. I used to take spirulina supplements -- it's super high in Beta Carotene and is the only other whole food (besides mother's milk) which contains Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) -- a substance needed (and manufactured) by the body which helps to prevent nutritional deficiency.

Whoops! Didn't mean for this to turn into a nutrition lecture http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I guess I get a bit too excited about things like this...

I also purchase mine at a health food store. A big chain supermarket near by carries only Pirates and it's $2.59! Health food store it's $1.89.

lorilei, I like veggie booty too. It's the only snack that no one else will eat at my house. I don't like the fruity one.

You can buy it from RobGourmets website.

BTW -- Every time I hear "Nude Food" I have to laugh... somebody tell me they've tried this and describe what something like this would be like.

I'd keep a bag around just for the name!

And what about Dude food? That's and interesting one too. I am going to check out what else they have at the health food store today.

As I was sitting here, I just polished off our first bag of Potato Flyers. All I can say is Yummy!. These taste better than regular potato chips, 1g. fat/100 calories per serving, and only 4 servings per bag, they can't be beat. I like them even better than Pirate's Booty!

I bought them at Whole Foods (TJ's didn't have them), along with Power Puffs. I'll report on those when I try them.
