Just received this in an email from DB - this gentleman's invention really could change the world.

Fascinating. But, hey, isn't bottled water more expensive than gas?

I saw this last week and thought it was so cool and I work in an office of mechanical engineers and showed it to them, and they said look its a mix of electricity and water and said it would take a huge amount of electricity to be viable. so expending a huge amount of energy to make energy. I am curious just how much electricty he uses for those canisters and his car

I was wondering about that too, when I heard him say that he used electricity to make it. I can't help but think that if this is "the answer" then why isn't it
1. Already invented.
2. Already on the market
Don't tell me how long it takes to invent something, take it to market, etc. I know. DH has 50+ patents. It is just a feeling that I have, like the response of Laurielie's mechanical engineers, that this is not as great as it sounds!
I tell you. We just got back from Spain. EVerywhere you look there, there are solar panels, windmills. Europe and I am sure other countries, are light years ahead of us when it comes to alternative power.

I agree Beth, they are ahead of us with alternative power as well as conservation.
I've told my DH that I would love to have solar panels on the roof and a backyard full of these...

100 miles per 4 ounces of water, if I heard him correctly.
128 ounces of water in a gallon.
1 gallon of water costs $ 0.64 at the local Wal-Mart.
3200 miles per gallon of water.
Where can I purchase a car like this? :D :D :D

yeah, we have already talked to our architect/builder that we want panels worked into the design of our addition. It will be on the "sun" side of the house.
I LOVE those windmills! We saw some on our honeymoon in Spain 10 years ago and TONS more this trip. They really look beautiful sitting on top of hills. Great design.

Yikes on the windmills, we have lots of them here. But wasn't there big fights on the east coast about them.
When I say lots, they are on the highway going to my second home in the desert. Great place for them, lots of wind but no one lives close enough to view them from their yard. They are ugly.
