I had some peaches and nectarines that were on their way out, so I made the peach cobbler. It came out really good. Not exactly the most visually appealing dessert, but looks nice in a homey way. I didn't have any almonds so I did not add them, but I don't miss them. I highly recommend this recipe for some overripe peaches.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Thanks for the review.

That recipe looked really good, but if memory serves, CL neglected to mention what older issue it came from.

Thanks for the review, Anita. I just got my issue and haven't even had a chance to look through it, but I love peaches and I love cobblers!

One of the best desserts I have made in a long time! I made the crust in the food processor as instructed. I was quite nervous about that because I tried that before and i just ended up with very tough crust. This time it was very tender and very easy to roll out. The peaches were yummy, they held thier shape perfectly. The slivered almonds added a nice touch. I thought this dessert was quite pleasing to the eye. (and nose!)
