I just tasted the absolute best nonfat frozen yogurt I have ever had at the new Costco that just opened here in Charlotte. I was so disappointed when they told me they did not carry it in the frozen food section, but only in the food court in single serving. Is anyone familiar with this brand?? Is it only for Costco?? Can I get it somewhere else??

Kirkland is the Costco house brand, so you won't find it anywhere else. Since it is the creamy kind out of a machine, they can't sell it in bulk. And yes, it is so rich that I can't finish a dish-- I've always wondered what the nutritional content is. Tastes too good to be true!

They handed me a nutritional card, which I lost. I do remember that there is only 90 calories in 4 oz.

I asked Costco about this, considering Costco is my biggest customer where I work! In fact, I am part of what this place calls (ahem) 'Team Costco'. We build all those white freezer/chiller cases you reach into.

Anyway, because that frozen yogurt is a 'soft serve' they can't package it. It's more of a powder mix that's put into a machine with water and it comes out soft serve. We love the stuff, and always get a cup before we leave, but the manager I spoke to on the phone says it's really close to the TCBY Yogurt if you have that in your area! Can't buy that in bulk, but you can get a 'hand pack' like Baskin-Robbins! Just go to Costco hungry, load up on Samples and get a yogurt on the way out the door and make it lunch! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

I love this stuff too, and with the berry topping. And it's only $1.50 for a HUGE portion (which I also can never finish!). I always tell my husband that when and if I ever get pregnant, I will be sending him off to Costco for those sundaes OFTEN! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Just for the record, all I use is TCBY, but there is DEFINITELY no comparison.

Costco's non-fat yogurt is great! I have it every time I'm there. And I never have any hesitation buying their Kirkland house brand merchandise.

BUT, we tried their packaged vanilla ice cream this weekend; BLEH! and double BLEH! Any other sophisticated opinions out there?
