So I'm going to get my SIL a cookbook as a shower hostess gift (this is my SIL whom I do not get along with yet decided she had to be a part of throwing my baby shower) but I don't cook (I'm a baker) so I need suggestions!

She loves to do gourmet stuff for entertaining but has all the Trotter books and the other usual suspects. Any ideas for one she might not have? She probably hasn't bought any new ones in about 2 years so a more current fave might be a safe bet.

What is your fave gourmet entertaining cookbook?

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps this isn't as gourmet as your SIL prefers, but I am quite impressed by Everyday Italian by Giada de Laurentiis.

And I thought Gourmet Magazine just came out with a cookbook compilation that may be an option.

Actually hubby just got that one and really likes it.

I'm going to go look up the Gourmet compilation. Thanks!
