Google/Images question

I need to download a couple of pictures from Google, but all of a sudden my only option is to "save page as" rather than just save the image. What the heck??
I select the image, then go to "view full size" or whatever...and get only the "save page" option. :confused:

Are you sure you're not just hitting a bunch of protected pages by coincidence? I just tried, and everything I got behaved just as usual.

Candice let's test it here. Right click my picture and do you get the option of Save Picture?

If not it may be your security settings on IE have been changed.

I don't think it's a coincidence because it really was every single picture.
I'm not on a PC and don't use IE, Dfen, so I don't know...I'll have to play around with it when I get home tonight.

Do you use Mozilla, I sometimes need to go to IE to do "extras"?

Christie, I was indeed on Mozilla, though I downloaded images just a couple of days before. I'm at DBF's house now and just did the exact same search...and I can capture just the pictures (using Safari at the moment). Guess it's a browser issue. Thanks for the ideas; it wasn't critical or anything..just mighty annoying!

I use mozilla. I just went to google, clicked on images, typed in cat to pull up images, clicked on one, and was able to save as image.

If you want, you can tell me what the image is, and I'll save it for you and email it right over. I'm not doing anything but surfing.

Thanks, Micah! It's resolved now, but I do appreciate the offer. I'm also a Mac girl, so maybe it's the browser WITH the platform...who knows? :rolleyes:

But if you'd like to look at some of the lovely wildflowers of the Bay Area, you might search for blue lupine and pride of Madeira ;).
