Ok I went through all the previous posts about blogs.
I need a resouce for templates. I found 3 (blogs) here that I like certain features but can't find a template to match them. I don't know enough about html code so can't figure that out either.

Love the pull down menus on the right
So does anyone have a really good link for blogger templates that let you choose the features you want?
Thank you! :)

Hi there. I am just seeing this now, but am about to head off to bed. If you don't get a good response tonight, I'll be back in the morning to see what I can do to help.
The short answer is that many of the features you mentioned are tweaks that we put in ourselves, not something you can necessarily find in a template.
The recipe list is pretty easy and I can help you figure that out. The others should be able to help you with things like drop-down lists.
See you in the morning. :)

Okay, back. :)
First, you can often figure out how people do certain things by right clicking on the page and then clicking on "view source". Of course a little knowledge of HTML is particularly helpful if you're going to do this, but you can start to see patterns and figure things out.
However, HTML is not at all necessary for the recipe categories that I have on my sidebar, but there are a few tricks. Have you played around with any templates at all? Are you familiar with Blogger?
Before I go on and on about how to do a few things, it would help to know if you are completely new or if you know a few things. :)

If you want to email me, when I have a little spare time I would be happy to share the code with you.

Well I've had my first blog since 2002. I don't post everyday to it and sometimes go months without posting.
But I created a new one so that when I go to school I can use it solely for recipes, school experiences etc.
I going to do the right click thing and print the code out and compare it to mine. Since I only have 2 posts on the new one if I screw it up it won't be a complete diaster.
I wish I was more HTML savvy, but I only know THE very basics.
Is there a list of blogger HTML code someplace? :)

Do you still need help with this? I have been busy and missed your replies.
If you want to try new things, create a "test" blog. You can copy your real blog onto your test blog and play with it that way. Once you get it the way you like it, you can copy the code to your real blog. I do that all the time and feel much more comfortable trying things out this way.
Let me know if you still need help or if Linda answered most of your questions.
