Help! I ordered serrano peppers (from WebVan) to make some of those Thai recipes from last month's issue and ended up with a whole bag of them. Since I only need a couple for the recipes, can I freeze the rest? If so, should I freeze them whole or seed them first?

I freeze them all the time. I chop the stem off, then put them in the food processor (seeds and all). That way they're all ready to go into whatever I want to add them to.

Thanks, that's a great idea.

I freeze all kinds of hot peppers by seeding them, mincing them and then placing in an ice cube tray with just enough water to bind. Once they are solid I transfer into freezer bags and chili or cheese/pepper bisquits, or anything that needs a bit of spicing up just gets a cube or two.
