In the CL 5 Ingredient/15 Minute cookbook, under the chapter : Slow Cooker Suppers, I found the Barbecue Pork Chops. The recipe calls for "1 (10-ounce) package frozen vegetable seasoning blend. I went to 3 different stores, looking in the frozen vegetable section. I have no idea what I was looking for. Does anyone know what this is or is there an alternative? TIA!!!

I came across something like this in one of the issues a couple months ago. I think it is just a frozen blend of veggies in the freezer department (at least that's what I used!).

I asked this question myself several months ago. Here's the link to the topic: http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/006328.html
I never did find it....if you have any luck, let me know.

Thanks for your help. So much for a quick meal. It looks like I'll be chopping onion, green pepper, celery and parsley to add to the recipe. I wish when these recipes were put together that CL would explain what this and other frozen mixes are because it doesn't sound like they're available nation wide.

I believe it contains red peppers as well.

Thanks, I've added red pepper to my list.
I agree with those on the earlier thread who said the chopped onion and pepper mixtures. If you can't find it, substitute fresh chopped onion, red and green bell peppers.

I made this yesterday. I chopped onion, red and green pepper. When I mixed this with the bbq sauce and stewed tomatoes, I thought it was too dry, so I added another 1/2 bbq sauce. After cooking for 4 hours in the crockpot there was way too much liquid. Even though , it was good and a nice idea for the crockpot. I also made the cole slaw that was recommended for it. I liked that a lot.

DmOrtega, thanks for review. I have the CL 15/5 book, but I haven't tried this recipe yet.
I'm always looking for good crockpot recipes. Have you tried any of the other crockpot recipes from this book?
