Hello from China!

Just wanted to pop in quickly and say hello from China! We are on day 10 of our 12-day tour, and to be honest, quite ready to be home. It's been exhausting. Our tour schedule is grueling, and it's incredibly hot and humid here, even for us native Texans. But it's been an amazing trip and we've managed to eat our way nicely through Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Beijing, Xian, and tomorrow, Guilin.

I'll be sure to post a more complete trip report and pics when I return. Hope all is well!

my DS is there now, spending a month in Shanghai studying Mandarin. it's his second trip; my first question last time was, "How was the FOOD??!!!!" he replied, "Like nothing i've ever eaten before," and he's had the best, both in NYC and SF. hoping you'll have some food stories to share...
