ok, i figure this is one of those times when i feel the more people sending good thoughts and prayers the better. can't hurt, right?

my aunt was on a heart transplant list, and last night got the call that there's a heart for her. she's 65 years old, and relatively healthy considering her heart was so bad (we have a genetic heart problem in my family). my mom drove into columbia with them last night and she's on the operating table as i type. the operation should take about 5 hours.

heavy sigh.

they just lost their youngest sister last september to metastasized breast cancer (there were 6 sisters in total).

thank you...i know there are people here who truly care.

Prayers to your aunt and family. Pray for her, picture her surrounded in golden light and beaming with health. Thank God for her healing, as if it is done.

Prayers going out to you and your family. I hope your aunt's surgery is successful. My uncle had heart transplant surgery and lived over 10 years in relatively good health with his new heart. I am so thankful for organ donors.

thank you all for your prayers...and sneezles, your post definitely made me take a deep breath and remember that yes, we are blessed that she DID get a heart. my cousin was one of the unlucky ones who did not get a heart and died last year at the age of 41.

update: she's in ICU now, and the doctors say that she's doing well. they won't start waking her until tomorrow.

i am thankful to organ donors too!!

many thanks,
greta
