Are there any supper/cooking clubs in New Hampshire -preferably Manchester or Concord area. I am interested in joining.

Hi! We are a group with members in Bedford,Goffstown, New Boston and Milford. We are couples and we meet once a month. We don't cook together per se, but we host a dinner once a month and everyone brings something. We try to push our comfort zones with recipes and we don't require that they be light. What are you looking for?

I saw your post and just wanted to say hello. I was part of your last RI club. It seems like you and your family are doing well and that the move back to NH was a good one.
Be Well,

hey Sara! How are you? Yes, we are well settled in NH. We actually saw Barbara and Bob back in May--they showed us a fabulous italian place in Johnston, RI. What are you up to these days?

Hi aidacj and Kristilyn1,
We're in Londonderry and I would love to begin or join a Supper Club. Kristilyn, it sounds like you have an established club and I wouldn't want to intrude if your group is getting full (or maybe its not)? Maybe we could trade ideas, etc? If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd love to hear from you. My husband and I are late 30's, early 40's and love to cook and try new dishes...not easy to do when my 3 young children prefer chicken nuggets and mac and cheese - ha! Anyway, thanks for your time...

Hi Susie! I can't speak for my club, but I believe we were open to two more couples. I know we had one couple that posted a few months back that were interested, but not sure where it stands. I've done the club I'm in now and one in RI and I've found that often people express interest and then kind of "chicken out". If you are still interested, and aidacj, please email me and I'll talk to the club and find out where we stand. We are certainly not trying to be exclusive, just trying to keep it a manageable size. Right now we are 6 couples. We've found that often the busy lives we all lead keeps us all from being able to meet at every event so a few more ensures that we have enough people and dishes to put on a good meal!

Hi Kristilyn,
I'd love to see if your group had room, as long as I'm not stepping on aidacj's toes who posted first. When do you all meet? Weeknights, weekends? If weeknights, how late do you go into the evening (this would be important for getting babysitters). I imagine you meet in each of your homes in the towns you mentioned. I know how far Goffstown and Bedford are from Londonderry and I don't think Milford and New Boston are that much farther. I do totally understand about the need to keep the size manageable, so if your group feels you're full, just let me know. I'm in a book club that gets totally out of control with the number of people from time to time. Should I be emailing this instead of posting? I'm sort of new to the bulletin board protocol, so just drop me an email if that's the proper way to go. Thanks for all of your time!

Hi Marcie,
Someone in our supper club saw your posting and thought we would get in touch. When you ask if there are "any supper clubs going on these days" are you interested in starting your own or joining one? Every once in a while we talk about adding another couple, although I'm not sure what the current school of thought is with the rest of our club. Right now we have 10 people (5 couples). If you were interested in starting one, I did help my friend start her own when ours was getting too big a few years back.
To let you know a little more about us, we are a bunch of late 30s-40s who get together monthly and the club has been in existence for about 4 years now. We are quite the colorful group and love sharing food, drink and funny stories as well as cooking. We all have kids and opt for sitters to keep meals adult-only (nearly always).
Anyway, let me know if you want to keep chatting. Thanks.
