Morning everyone!

We had a very productive weekend!! DH started to pull stuff out of the garage and then decided we needed to paint it!!!! So I painted all weekend (my exercise!) and the garage looks GREAT!!! :D

Today I did Express Cardio with Stephanie and the abs section from Cathe's Cardio and Weights. Very sweaty!!! I have a Dr appt this am and then the next 2 days I have to go through our camping stuff. We have our annual camping trip on Thursday and need to make sure we have enough tarps etc!! It's supposed to be in the 90's and humid all weekend - yay  Love being sweaty with bug spray all over me!! :p

How was everyone else's weekend?!!

Charisse - Way to go on the garage painting. I bet it looks fantastic and clean.

I'm here! No dvd exercise in almost 2 weeks though, and no stretching in longer than that. I did my 4 mile walk with the neighbor on Friday and Sunday.

Soooo...what have I been doing with my time? Stressing. My husband still doesn't have a job, I'm being evicted three weeks before I move, the exchange rate is really bad, and we need to rent an apartment over there so that I have an address for my visa paperwork and to ship our things to. This is not how things were supposed to work out, we were not both supposed to be unemployed at the same time! That is why I made him leave nearly 6 months before me. Anyway, we have 3 weeks to decide whether he get an apartment where he is or whether we should just pick a new city and try again. And I have to get packing!

So, if you have the time could you please tell me 1) it's all going to be ok, and 2) get off your butt and at least stretch tonight? Thanks ladies.

Hey look! I'm actually posting on a Monday. Things have been so hectic at work, i'm losing my mind. DB and SIL were on vacation all week so I'm STILL drowning in paperwork with no end in sight. :( Anyways, on to my exercise. Nothing formal this weekend. Date night was fun. We went out to the good 'ol Applebees and met up with my BF and her DH later for a margarita. I worked Saturday and spend a rainy day in doors relaxing yesterday. I actually got my butt out of bed this morning and did Step Jump and Pump - well, I did the step and hi/lo part of it. I need to get a bar to do the rest. I attempted about 5 mins w/o a bar on lowers and still felt the burn. I also did a short ab routine afterwards. It's raining off and on today so if I don't do my walk, it will be Tae Bo.

Charisse - my, weren't we productive! DH worked on the garage last week while he was off, but we still have tons of work to do. I haven't been camping in several years. Is this in a tent? Sounds like fun!

Carrie - Don't be so hard on yourself!! You've been walking and that's more than most can say. Just hang in there, k? Things may not always go as planned, but they seem to eventually work themselves out. Now if I must - get your butt up and stretch tonight! ;)

Crazy couple of weeks here gang. But the barn is just about done (still need some internal gates but it's usable) and then on Monday we got the call that the girls had settled (horse terms for pregnant) and so we took off on Tuesday and drove straight through to Denver (17 hours  ). We spent two days with my folks and then drove to Blackfoot and picked up the girls (so that was Friday). Then Saturday we drove from Blackfoot to GlenDive and on Sunday we made it home. Lots of horrible eating and no vitamins had my body on a complete revolt and to top it off no exercise. I am so happy to be home and see my girls out in the pasture :D Now to get back on the healthy eating and exercise.

Engineer, oh my goodness, that's alot of driving! Sounds like your back home settled in. You can make a fresh start now - don't worry about the bad eating, we all have those days! I speak from experience. :o

Nancy, I love step, jump and pump! The music is fun and lots of variety. I think you can do it with dumbbells, too.

Carrie, hang in there! It will all work out eventually, but I know it's got to be tough. Especially trying to make decisions long distance. And, your walks count as exercise! Stretching tonight, right? ;)

Charisse, wow, I wish we could get motivated and do something like painting a garage in a weekend. I get so overwhelmed with all our impending projects I never start any of them! Got to get on the kids' rooms. Caitlyn's hasn't been painted since we moved there - ten years ago.

Saturday I got up and did Jari's Slim and Lean, then took Tully for a jog. It really was a blast running with her. We did almost 4 miles. I slowed down a few times to be sure she was OK, but she kept pulling me to keep going, so I figured she was fine. The only problems were the few times she saw a squirrel or rabbit and almost ripped my arm off trying to go after them. She's a hunting dog and seems to take her "heritage" quite seriously.

Sunday I did no exercise and today I did the sculpting class at the gym. I'll probably do a step DVD in the morning.

Happy Monday everyone!

I'm here, just no exercise... DS was up all night Friday night throwing up (several times on me) and then I caught the darn bug Sunday night and was home all day yesterday. I'm back at work today, but feeling incredibly weak at this point. I'm not sure how long I'm going to last, but I'm pushing for all day.

I have a face-to-face interview on Friday with the company the recruiters think I would be a good fit.

I don't really have time for personals, big problems here at work. Fun stuff!!

((Emily)) - hang in there. It's so hard to function when the kids are sick and you get it too. Fingers crossed for you on Friday and hope it's a good fit.

((Carrie)) - I'm sending positive vibes overseas so your husband can find something!!!!!! I'm sure it must be stressful - BUT what better way to deal with the stress than to work it out. How did you do yesterday?

Joanne - Sam's room is next. Although my zeal for painting has diminished a bit!! It does get overwhelming - DH and I were talking about our outside projects and it just seems like so much AND where do you start?!!! The walk with Tully sounds like fun (oops Jog!!) :)

Engineer - OMG 17 hours to Denver and then back up again. Congrats - does this make you guys "grandparents"? :D How long before the ladies deliver?

Nancy - yup, tent camping! We go every year with DH's fraternity brothers and families. We have about 20 kids in all - it's a lot of fun. There's a lake with a beach, the guys take the kids canoeing and fishing too. And we do a lot of sitting around the campfire, eating and drinking and retelling the SAME stories from 20 years ago!!!

I did Cathe's Step Fusion this morning. I really feel like I'm on a roll - and Thursday I'll have another 4 day haitus!! Guess that's the theme of the summer!! Tomorrow my goal is heavy weights and Thursday I have to mow the lawn before we leave.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!! :)

Emily, hope you're feeling better. I swear, stomach stuff is the worst. Good luck with the meeting Friday.

Charisse, that camping trip sounds like a blast! This weekend we are going to Michigan. It's kind of a reunion with people DH and his sisters went to boy/girl scout camp with. Lots of kids, it's fun to see how they all change every year. We go tubing down this really cool river all day Saturday. Nice and mellow. I have lots of packing to do, though. Oh, that reminds me, Jameson is now almost 10 and keeps asking me if he can pleeeeese get a new suitcase. He's embarrassed to use the Elmo one we got him when he was a little kid. :p Gee, I can't imagine why!

Today I did half of a Christi Tayor step DVD and half of one of her hi/lo DVDs. I'm going to try to do weights tomorrow and cardio Thursday. No exercise Friday-Sunday since we'll be away.

:D Jameson and Jack must be about a 1/2 year apart - Jack turns 10 in March - 4th grade here we come!! Hmmmm Elmo suitcase - it may be time Joanne :)

I just got battery powered fans at Walmart!!!!!!!!! I am sooo excited. As I said before it's supposed to be so hot and humid this weekend. This should help us at night! :)

OK, personals in the morning - I had a crappy day at work and just thought I'd check in before a soothing bath (which = alone time :D). I walked yesterday and today, though the temps were in the 90's and you could cut the humidity with a knife. Sweaty but done!! No a.m. workout today, but hopefully tomorrow. We have supper club on Thursday and I need to alot some extra calories... . More in the morning!! Tomorrow is Wednesday - YAY!!!

Nancy must be clairvoyant because she was right - today is Wednesday! :p I went walking last night. I haven't been stretching, I've been concentrating on staying sane instead. And I am done beating myself up over it. :) Besides, walking is exercise!

We decided that we are moving to Bristol (so we'll be in England, not Wales). My husband is going to get an apartment the first week of August. The home inspection on my apartment was last night, and the guy is definitely taking it so I definitely have to be out by August 30th. But on the upside, I think he might buy my appliances. :) I have written out my moving plan. And I'm ready to do this. I can even start applying for jobs now! :D

Nancy - Sorry that work is so sucky right now. That will probably clear up just in time for EOM! Good job with the walking. Have fun at supper club.

Michelle - How exciting that both girls are pregnant! The babies should be born next May/June? What did they think of their barn makeover? Good luck easing back into your normal routine.

Joanne - Isn't it fun running with dogs? They make good jogging buddies and always seem ready to go. Plus they rarely complain about being tired. Sounds like you've been doing a great job with your workouts. Have fun this weekend.

Emily - Sorry you're having a bad time at work too. I hope that your interview goes well. And that your bug has cleared up by now.

Charisse - Have a great weekend camping. That sounds like a great time for all the kids. Maybe someone will have a new story this year. (yeah right!)

I think that's everyone. I'm heading back up to the Adirondacks tomorrow night for a family reunion this weekend. Might do the bike ride on Sunday. We'll see.

Hi ladies-

I've been working out, just not a lot of time to post. I am back to work as of Monday, so we are all adjusting.

I am 5 pounds from my pre-preg weight, so I got a prize :) I got a HRM. I LOVE it! It is so fun to look down and see how many calories I've burned :) I want to lose 15 pounds from my pre-preg.

Today is my off day. I have been trying to get 5-6 workouts a week. I have a lot of lunches out for my job so I make sure to do something on those days for sure.

Charisse- Have fun camping!

Carrie- I will be thinking good job hunting/moving thoughts for you and DH

Michelle - Congrats! How long is a horse's gestation?

Joanne- Have fun tubing! It is supposed to be really hot on this side of the state this weekend.

Nancy - I love my baths. DH even knows to leave me be.

Emily- Sorry to hear Gavin has a stomach bug :(

Charisse, Jameson turns 10 in September, so, yes, he and Jack are about six months apart. He's going into 5th grade. Yikes! I had quite a startling relevation the other day. :o He'll be going into college in just 8 years! Yikes! Yes, you're right, time to ditch Elmo!!

Carrie, walking is definitely exercise! Glad to hear things are starting to fall into place. Where will you stay when you leave your apartment? Yes, it was fun running with Tully. I wish I could do it more often, but DH works nights, so I can't go in the mornings on the days he works because of the kids. I can only do it on weekends when he's off.

Nancy, good job on the walking, too. Hope you enjoyed your bath!

Molli, I have a HRM and love it too! It's great incentive to see how many calories you are burning. Plus, it can tell you which workouts really get your heartrate up that you thought might not have been so effective.

This morning I couldn't get out of bed. My kids are just going to bed later and later this summer and I started watching my Tivo after they went to sleep (finally!) at 10:00. I feel like I need a little quiet time to myself or I'll go insane! So, I stayed up to watch Rock Star Supernova and Big Brother. I know, quality entertainment  , but it's about all I can digest at the end of the day! Anyway, I went to bed too late and couldn't get up. So, I'm off to the "Buff Girl Workout" (where do they come up with these names  ) at the gym during lunch.

Joanne - buff girl workout?!! Too funny! And we must be on the same wavelength b/c Bill had a lightbulb moment last weekend about the 8 years until college - and OMG do we have money put away?!!!!

Nancy - Ugh - I HATE this humidity. I am sorry work is crappy right now. How was your bath last night? :)

Carrie - good for you. Sounds like you have a plan and are ready to go do it!!! I hope you still can check in with us when you move!!

Molli - You go girl!! I am so proud of you for working out!!! I lost my chest wrap for my monitor (I have the watch thing but not the monitor itself!!) They are fun!! Enjoy :)

Well I didn't get my weight workout in b/c our grass grew 3 inches overnight and it's suppposed to storm later today. So out I went - ugh ugh ugh. I was soaking wet within 15 mins - I could have entered a wet t-shirt contest  I half pushed and half used the automatic setting for mowing the lawn. I also put down grub control b/c the gosh darn beetles have taken over my trees!!!! I will "control" them next year. grumble grumble. My hamstrings are really tight now. Tomorrow will have to be weights. We leave in the afternoon. I'll check in tomorrow am. :)

Hey everyone – well let’s just say things haven’t settled down for me yet. Monday after work a co-worker had a flat tire. I actually had to run in front of her car to get her to stop and look at the tire – it wasn’t low it was totally flat. So we helped her until her DH arrived but that put us really late getting home so no workout and dinner wasn't a nutritional masterpiece  . Then yesterday the girls had to have their hooves trimmed so that messed everything up. DH helped with the horses and I did all the other animal duties. Oh and I forgot to mention that DH has his heart set on going on the centennial wagon train this weekend! It’s going to be 100 degrees  – hello can’t I stay home in the air conditioning and get some exercise in. Ugh – I am so not looking forward to this (can you tell?). I bet the girls would agree with me on this one. But DH figures that I should go home each night to take care of the critters so I can at least sleep in air-conditioning and get a shower in. Also that will be the 2nd weekend where we don’t get to the grocery store or get any of the other duties (like cleaning) done. Then he is taking off for the cities for the week, so I’ll be on solitary animal stuff for next week also. Then the week following that finds us heading to Bemidji to the Beltrami county fair. Please someone tell me that it will be winter soon, at least when it’s cold and dark I can workout with some regularity…. ;)

Charisse - Yeah for finding the fans that will make the camping trip much more pleasant. And I commend you on getting that lawn mowed with the heat and humidity it was truely an exercise in determination. Bon Voyage!

Joanne - Yup I think it's time to retire Elmo. Quiet time and mindless entertainment are definitely good for the mental state. So are you a 'Buff Girl' now?

Molli - Yeah for you on getting the HRM and also for getting a lot of weight off already. You can do it and now you have even more information so it should go even better right? Gestation for a horse is 11 months so we're looking at May/June 07 babies (which are about 54" to the shoulder at birth - how's that for scary)

Carrie - Bristol huh? Isn't that a huge motorsports area? Anyway I think that now that you have a plan things should be a wee bit calmer. I always do better when there is a plan so that I can anticipate what needs to be done and when. I have my fingers crossed that he buys the appliances. How's the training going with Weston?

Nancy - Here's hoping that today is better than yesterday and a big high five for getting out there in that heat and humidity and moving. I hope there was champagne and bubbles with that bath last night :D

Morning everyone!

Just finished Cathe's Cardio and Weights - the whole DVD. I felt strong this morning so decided to do all of it as we have camping food to contend with this weekend! :p

Michelle.... I think I spied some flurries this morning - nice cold arctic air on the way :D Here's hoping you get through these next couple of weeks - finding some time to fit in your routine!!!! Guess you won't be showing the girls this summer as they are expecting?!

Gotta run- finish grocery shopping and packing the van!

STAY COOL everyone - looks like the heat and humidity will be everywhere this weekend!!!! :)

Charisse, we have very little money put away for college, don't feel bad! I figure my parents didn't save much for me and I somehow made it through, we'll find a way for the kids when it comes time (much sooner than I thought  ). Have a great time this weekend!! I need to go home and pack. I hate, hate packing!! Always seem to bring too much but then forget stuff we really need. Good job with C & W!

Engineer, sometimes just reading your posts makes me tired!! How's the knee? Are you still having PT?

The "buff girl" workout was fun. It was all circuits for one minute. There was one brave guy in there! This morning I did Mindy Myrlea's Extreme Intervals which is a bit like Imax2, but she also does some hi/lo intervals. Tomorrow I want to do weights and take Tully for a run. I need to tire her out before she goes to stay with my parents for the weekend!

Hello Ladies! Work still sucks (but I’m finally catching up) so my time is very limited. Yesterday I woke up late, so I just did Total Body Sculpt w/Gilad and squeezed in my 2 mi. at lunch. This morning I did the Method’s Cardio Boot Camp. I’ve only done it once before and remembered why. Traci (I think) annoys me and I just don’t really care for the workout. I was sweating my butt off, but something about it I don’t prefer. Hmm… Anyways, another walk at lunch today. So far I’m 3 for 4. Hopefully I can make it out of bed (supper club pending ;)) and get it in tomorrow. Tonight’s theme is Victory of the Vegetable (aka Vegitarian). I’m making a Tofu, Greens and Sun-dried Tomato Strudel with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce. I’m hoping it’s good – I’ve never used tofu before!

Carrie – Yay for Plan B! Maybe Bristol will present something great. Try not to stress too much, k? How is Weston? Still taking training classes? Have fun at the family reunion – it’s nice you’re getting to see so much of them before you move. How frequent will you guys be able to come back to visit?

Charisse – tent camping – you’re a brave woman! The heat/humidity still hasn’t shown signs of letting up around here so I’m sure you’re going to have one sweaty weekend there. Hopefully your bonus find of those fans will help. Have a great trip! The college years seem like eons away but I’m sure they’ll be here before we know it. Must talk to DH now…

Joanne – you go “buff girl” :p!! The class sounds like fun! I’m surprised a guy wasn’t intimidated enough by all the women. Good for him! And for the record (I’m not a big tv fan) I’m working really hard not to get sucked into Supernova, but it’s not working. Have fun in Michigan, the river sounds DEVINE!!

Michelle – You are one busy lady!! I don’t know if the wagon train sounds like fun or not. I’m kind of with you in that it’s too hot to sit outside all day long. I’m a wimp, I know. :p And no, there was no champagne but plenty of bubbles. Does Merlot count? :D I need that quiet time to reflect…Enjoy your week alone – you’ll be missing DH by next Friday I’m sure!

Emily – fingers crossed your interview went wonderful today!! How’s Gavin? I hope you and your family are feeling much better. :)

OK, my book is over. Come on Friday!! :D:D
