Good morning!

Today I had the luxury of riding my NEW bike to my workout and back. So I rode about 5 miles each way, and sandwiched in a 45-minute weight workout.

Who's next?

Congrats on the new bike, Martha! DH ordered us new Treks as well so I understand your excitement :)

Today I went to kickboxing class and got a great workout!

ETA: Martha, while I was typing this, the UPS guy showed up with our new bikes - can't wait til DH gets home :D

Congratulations on the new bikes!!! Have fun!!!

I did yoga at lunch today. We had one of the newer instructors and this was the first time I've taken her class. It was rather beginner stuff. <yawn> I really wish the gym would offer an advanced yoga class instead of continuing to get these beginning people. It's definitely good for the people who truly are new to yoga....but for the regulars, they need to offer something more advanced.

Enough whining....at least I worked out. :D

Who's next?!?

Martha - Way to go on biking and getting in a weight workout!

Sheila - Have fun with your new bikes.

I nearly killed myself mowing our new lawn today. It took over 2 hours. We have a little over an acre and a self-propelled mower. Although I did half in the morning and half this afternoon, I may need to split this chore into two days (or share with DH and DS)!

Anyway, that was one looonnnnngggg cardio session, so now it's time for a beer. ;)

I've been MIA, but I did walk all last week while we were in the OBX. No way I can be at the beach and not walk! :)

Anyone else for Monday?

Hi Melman - we were posting at the same time.

That would be annoying if you didn't get to grow and move on in class. Maybe you can suggest an advanced class?

I fell down our stairs on June 3rd and have a BAD fracture in my right foot. I go back to the doctor on July 25th and hopefully the cast will come off then.

Until further notice, I cannot exercise at all and I really miss it.

I can't say "I'll really workout hard to burn that extra glass of wine (or whatever I consumed)

I can't drive so someone from my office that lives nearby is taking me. I am only working 3 days a week, since my foot has to be elevated 24/7 with limited walking.

Enough whinning from me; it could have been worse!

Tigermorris,

I'm so sorry about your fracture. What a bummer. I fell down the stairs on Mother's Day and twisted my ankle. It was quite the setback. Try to keep a positive attitude. We're here for you, so keep on posting even though you're not working out.
