Wine of the Week.

It's my week and I am at a loss. All I have been drinking lately is Pinot Noir and I know ya'll are probably getting tired of that. I did try SusieO's Shiraz/Cab last weekend and loved it. My latest try is Firesteed Pinot Noir. Drank two bottles over the weekend (with a little help from some friends). It is from Oregon (the Pinot Noir capital) and we really enjoyed it. Ila, don't forget I'm gone for the next two weeks so you are "it". Sorry for my unimaginative pick for this week, but try it, you'll like it.

I tried a great one over the weekend:

Cline Syrah, California 1999. $10.00!

It was excellent, very full bodied, very berry tasting, which I loved.

How about a nice little bottle of Estancia Cabernet? Got a bottle of '98 the other day for 11.99... shared it with my husband while noshing on a bit of dark chocolate.

We just returned from the NCL Majesty to Bermuda, where we tried a bottle of Wente Pinot Noir. We liked it. I don't know what the street cost would be, but I noticed that the local store carried the Wente Chardonnay for $10.00 and I am going to try it.
