For the fourth, I had a party & made up a dessert - trifle-ish in nature.
Everyone loved it, so I thought I'd share. It can be made light if you sub lite cool whip for the home made whipped cream.
I cooked a fat-free angel food cake from a box (oh the horror! - I was short on time. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif)
Made whipped cream with vanilla & sugar.
Had 2 boxes of blueberries that had sat in sugar & amaretto, & 2 boxes of strawberries that I had cut up & soaked in the amaretto & sugar as well.
In a trifle dish, I layered the whipped cream, then blueberries, then cake, then whipped ream, then strawberries, then cake, then whipped cream. On the top layer, I made the blueberries into a star shape & filled in around it with the remaining strawberries. Very yummy & festive!
