Ok I was thrilled with last nights results. Though I don't care for Virginia or respect her, that was a brilliant move on her part :D
Ding Dong Sara's Gone
I saw the previews where they have to run Hells Kitchen, but what I'm wondering is..with what staff? Will they bring back some of the previous players?
Predictions? Keith, Heather or Virginia....I think it will be down to Keith and Heather.

Ding dong is right. I was so glad to see her go. Did you notice the expression Keith and Heather shared when it happened? Can't help but think that it was a calculated move on Heather's part to put Sara on the chopping block to virtually ensure, absent any major screw ups on their parts, that she and Keith would be in the final two.

Good-bye Sara! Nice knowing ya! I am hoping that Heather wins, I've wanted her to win from the beginning. I think she has the energy needed to run a restaurant, something the rest of them just can't compare.
I'm not crazy about Virginia's way of dealing with the construction workers. I just don't like the fake "Where have you been all my life, handsome?" talk. It's so obvious to me. Really though, if they fell for it!! Hmmm. I guess that's another reason I like Heather to win. She's more professional. And I thought Virginia was silly when she was shopping with GR. Did she really, really have to be condescending with the cow pitcher and the mitt she brought back for the other two women? Keith was right. "$1K and she spent $4.99 on my crab claw cracker!"
Good show though!

Okay, so I accidentally tuned into this last night for the first time ever and I could make up my mind whether I should be appalled or horribly facinated. It didn't help that the show is down to the final 3-4 contestants and I've missed all the stuff leading up.
What was with the shopping bit? Was there something I missed? Sookie noted and I agree with her:

I would have been pissed too! Even in such a competetive thing as this you don't have to be a complete b***h. Or is that just how it is? Virginia really comes across as a whiner.
I may have to tune in next week out of morbid curiosity.
So do they get their own restaurant when they are done? Is that the prize?

Virginia reminds me of a whiny, attention seeking little girl. She so wants Chef Ramsay to like her, and you can tell she feels "all growed up" when she calls him "Gordon" vs "Chef Ramsay".
She defintely has issues, with her constantly looking for validation from any one and anything.
And...the way she reacted when Keith picked her to go to Vegas? How mature is that?
Oh, and another thing...when shopping with Ramsay, I thought her culinary knowledge was really highlighted when she asked if she should get that "big knife"....which she didn't know was a cleaver! It makes you slap your forehead in wonderment!

Loved last night's results. I actually think it will come down to Heather and Virginia. I can see Keith trying to run the kitchen like a dictator- versus the team concept they actually had going last night.
As for the shopping thing...if I was given 1,000 to spend at Sur La Table, you can be absolutely certain that I would not spend a penny of it on my competitors. Not one toothpick- she won fair and square. They should have been happy to get anything.
And what was up with the lunches anyway? Did Keith really think lobster tail and greens was a hearty lunch for construction workers? Same with Sara's quail. DH looked at me and said he'd never eat that kind of food for lunch while working. And Heather's Chicken sandwich and fries were so boring- she may be good at execution, but she lacks a bit on the creativity side.

As much as Virginia is whiny, I think that Heather is equally so.... when she didn't win the lunch prize, she was VERY whiny.... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... and she crys VERY ugly.... I'm not sure that I would eat at a place that any of them ran.... not a good group this year. I'm also have a brain issue (I would say ****, but don't want to offend anybody ;) )... who won last year????????

I just posted on the Hell's Kitchen thread on the Good Food board. How funny because I also used the Ding dong the witch is dead theme. :D
I put that I don't think that the other contestants deserved a darn thing from that shopping spree - I mean, after the crap they were saying about Virginia while she was gone?! Maybe Keith deserved something because he took her to Vegas but that's about it.
I also think the whole thing with Sara was, well...expected. I wouldn't say a set up because, Virginia's possible change of heart or no, those would still be the two that should have, and would have, been put up.

I agree with you, I wouldn't have bought anything either. BUT, SINCE SHE DID why so condescending? GR called you a cow so here's a cow. Heather burnt her hand, so here's a glove, etc. And since Keith WAS nice enough to take her to Vegas.....
That's just MHO, I wouldn't have done it.
And, as much as I didn't care for Sara I have to say that if GR had called me a cow one more time I would have thrown a pot of hot water in his face.
