Duh! Ceiling fans!

Yesterday, the a/c couldn't keep up with the heat outside... and it wasn't all that hot.... 94 or so, but the temp inside was 80, and that's too hot for me.

So, today, I thought I'd try turning up the ceiling fans - they run all the time at slow speed, because we have a high ceiling in the great room. Voila!

Today, the temp inside is a comfortable 76, and the a/c actually turned off once ~ for about 5 minutes :rolleyes: . So, despite what DH says, the ceiling fans will be on high during the day, until the weather breaks! :D

ceiling fans do help. Our new home has 9 foot ceilings and we put c fans in all bedrooms and a 60 inch one in the F Room (that has a higher ceiling.
We are having a heat wave and once I turn on the fans it inmediatelly cools off its moving the cold air around. I sleep with a ceiling fan on too.
