View Full Version : Weekend exercisers! (8/5-8/6)

How's everyone's weekend shaping up? I got out early this AM for a run, then came home and mowed the front/side yards. After that, a trip to the Farmer's Market, then home for a nap! :o All this early morning rising stuff has to get made up somewhere! :p More running around to do this afternoon.
What about you? What kind of workouts is everyone else getting in?

Hi Kathy. I've been getting up early lately, too, and feeling the need for a little snooze in the afternoon. Oh well.
This morning I ran to the gym (2 miles) and then did the Hour of Power class. Then I bummed a ride home because I wasn't sure if my legs would hold up for another 2 miles!

Martha, I'm impressed you RAN to the gym and then worked out! I think I would have stopped with running to the gym and catching a ride back home! :o Good going.
Good going with the yard and a run for Kathy. I went to the gym this morning and did a full-body workout with weights.
What's everyone else doing today?

Thanks, Melanie. It came to me as I was lying awake at 4:30 am. I had planned to ride my bike to the gym, run on the treadmill, take the class and ride my bike home. I knew I could do that. Then I thought, Why don't I just run to the gym? A little over ambitious, perhaps! :rolleyes:

Actually, at my work we call that "excellent time management skills"! :D Good job!
Well, Melanie, since you said you wouldn't come do my yard work, I figured I better get to it! ;) One thing about neglecting to water, you don't have to mow as often. It's just a matter of getting used to brown.... :rolleyes: Way to go with your full-body weights workout!
Yoga for me this morning. I am really liking the program I found...Namaste Yoga. I have taped several episodes so I can use them as needed. Since I have to be at work early the next few days, I will be relying on them for my workouts.

Hi Kathy, Martha & Melanie :) Great workouts for you all!
We had a great time in CA. I ran/walked Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Friday's was almost 90 minutes :eek: which might explain slightly sore shins when I first started out yesterday. Definitely more running than I've done in a while.
