Necklace fashion question

I need your fashion thoughts/advice.

I am going to a wedding this Sat, and have a great little black dress. My mom/Aunt voted that I wear 2 necklaces with it. One is kind of more fun with some black danglies, and the other is a longer pearl necklace.

They claim that this is a current fashion look. And,that it looks good with my dress and is hip, fun.

What do you all think?

I think it would look great! I think that layered look is very in right now, especially with one shorter and one quite long. Go for it! :)

Theoretically the look is in -- how it is carried off depends on the individual components use and how they work together.

I would suggest browsing some fashion magazines because (at least IMO) there are few things worse than a trendy look that is not done well.
