Just curious. Has anyone heard of or had any experience with mangosteen juice. It apparently is sold only over the internet or through distributors. A friend of mine is such a distributor and trying to get me to buy a bottle or two. It apparently is very, very high in antioxidants, and they tout it as a possible help in either releiving or curing a large number of ailments, including arthritis, acid reflux, weight loss, and more.

I've heard a little about it, but can't be of much help. The only thing I know is that I was accosted by a crazy lady several months ago while waiting at an airport gate for a flight. She seemed normal at first, then sucked me into a strange conversation where she shared all kinds of way TMI stories about her own health ("female problems", anyone?) and how mangosteen juice saved her life. It was very awkward. So I guess even if it's miracle juice I'm a bit predisposed against it now!

Let us know what you find out...would be interested to know if there's any evidence to back up the miracle claims...

I don't have any info on it but I am pretty sure that I have seen a big bottle of it at Costco. It might be a cheaper way of trying it to see if it provides you with any health benefits.

You are correct, Gecko. I found it both on the Costco and Sams Club websites. It is priced considerably lower than the Xango brand, which my friend sells through an independent distributorship. What little I've found in terms of unbiased information, makes me beleive that it is little more than an expensive fruit juice(in clinical trials) claims to help a variety of ailments. But what do I know? It may help some people with digestive and inflammation maladies. Thanks for your reply.
