I think it's good to focus on the positive every so often... feel free to post your own!

1. My ENT thinks I WON'T need a third sinus operation!!! I about danced out of the office! He put me on serious meds and I can breathe both in and out. It's a whole new life, I tell ya.
2. I left my insanely stressful job for another stressful job where I have autonomy, people listen to my ideas, and I have a real opportunity to make a difference.
3. My sister, who has had at least 3 miscarriages over the years, is nearing the end of a healthy pregnancy.
4. My niece (different mom from #3) is astoundingly resilient. Her mom has been in residential rehab for alcohol 5 times in 2 years, and niece is just a sweet, funny, smart, caring kid who loves her Mommy but knows that "sometimes she has to stay at the doctor's because she has diseases."
4a. My DH makes extraordinary efforts to be a part of said niece's life. During this extremely busy time of year (he's in politics), he still makes time to stop by when I'm babysitting, include her in events she might enjoy, etc.
5. A few weeks ago my dry cleaner, recognizing my car as I came into the parking lot, met me at the door with my dry cleaning!!
6. My Christmas shopping is almost done! I only have DH and his step-mother left.

My Christmas shopping is almost done.
WOW!

The most important thing I have to be greatful for, today is that the problem they found in my mammogram, that wouldn't go away with new films shot, wasn't found during the sonogram. I have to go back in 6 months, for a retest, but I'm not worried about it.

Everyone in my family is happy, healthy and simply terrific at this point!

Our new company is going great guns and we have very dedicated loyal men working for us, who we can depend on with little, if any, supervision.

We had a lot of good rain this weekend, the kind of rain that thoroughly saturates the ground.

The Bristol Nascar Races are right around the corner!

This is a great idea.

I am grateful that everyone in my family is relatively healthy.

I am grateful that my SIL and BIL and nephew are back from Sweden safely and that we got to spend a lot of time with them yesterday and will see them today before they head back home to CO.

The Organic Conference and Festival that the non-profit org. I volunteer for is nearing and looks to be super fabulous and I will have a blast helping with the children's programming at the festival!!!

Same non-profit (Healthy Traditions Network) was happy with all the suggestions I made that I want to implement for my new postion (volunteer position as volunteer coordinator) and told me to run with it.

DH is gainfully employed and his company seems poised to be super busy which in this economy is a really great thing.

School is starting in 2 weeks and it looks to be a wonderful year!!!

I got approval from our Council to go ahead and start a new Brownie troop at the school and was told I could do it the way I intended regardless of what the other troop leader (the existing troop at the school) who is less than co-operative says!!!

I will post more later, gotta run!!

Great idea, Stephanie!

School starts tomorrow, and both my kids and I know and are thrilled with their new teachers!

DH is home for the weekend, and has a business meeting in Atlanta that will let him stay here for a few extra days.

Our house is being listed this week, and I am going to TN to look for a new house, so we are getting a lot closer to moving.

This past weekend, 4 of our best friends came for a visit, and we had a great time!

I am 6 months away from my 5 years without a reoccurance of breast cancer!

One DD has a great job, and has stopped needing money from Mom & Dad!

The other DD has no credit card debt for the first time in 5 years!

DH was approved for the medicine that will stop his arthritis (we hope)!

Thanks for this board, and this thread for helping me count my blessings!

Good health is what it is all about. Wishing you many more years of good health.

When the kids are on their own that is a bonus! :D
