Does anyone else have difficulties following a specific diet when you work all night and sleep all day.. i do
Even on my days off i get all screwed up and sleep part of my day and stay up all night!
i cook all my own dishes and i never take convience food to work or fast food. Does the metabolism go haywire with my odd schedule?

OK-it's been a few years since I had to work nights but I do so remember it! I've read research that discusses the effects of shift work on your body and it does play havoc with plenty although I don't remember anything about metabolism. I think it's great that you prepare your own food and don't order out when you are there. That is half the battle! I used to just eat like the night was a normal "day". I'd eat "lunch and dinner" around midnight and four am respectively, then when I woke up would eat "breakfast" even though it was four pm. On my days off I would just reverse everything. Do you rotate shifts or are you full time nights?
