and snickers and chips and dip! It's too late to prevent diving in, but how do I stop? I'm on a non-stop Halloween treat-eating frenzy!

Go for a walk...or a run, or bike or something! It's the best way to curb impulsive snacking (eating because something yummy is there)

Bag up the candy and give it away! I know that people will probably boo & hiss me for saying this, but you can bring it to a local nursing home. When my grandfather was in a home, all the residents loved getting chocolate - I realize that it's not healthy and all, but once in a while it's ok.
You can even throw it away - we won't tell anyone.

I keep candy around but after buying lots of candy (bags & bags) and not that many kids coming I send candy to my hubby's work. I also bag the rest (out of sight no temptation) I will probably use it in Xmas baskets etc.
A similar suggestion to the nursing home is to take it to the children's floor of a local hospital. When I was a kid, the local radio station asked kids that could trick or treat to divide up some of their candy to share with those that couldn't because they were in the hospital. You give it to the nurse's desk so that there is some control over who gets it.

Get them out of the house. I have thrown away stuff before, just to get them away from me.It sounds terrible but I would rather waste it than be complaining that my clothes don't fit anymore.

Well, yesterday was shot....although not on candy. I had homemade egg and cheese biscuits for breakfast a candy bar for lunch and a baked potato (not the healthy version) for dinner. I think I've had enough. This a.m. I looked on my kitchen counter and spotted the huge bag of Halloween candy. I'm happy (I think) to say that it's now beside me at my desk, so that I can fatten up my co-workers with it instead of myself.
I know I know it's evil, but I've got to protect myself. Today I had a bagel for brunch and I'm about to hit the water bottle like never before. I also see a leafy green salad and a jog in the near future.
Whew! I'm saved!

Every year I have a fear of having extra Halloween candy around after trick-or-treating. I always save my candy receipts and only open a bag on an as needed basis. I always have the strength to resist an unopened bag. This year I only had one unopened bag left over plus 5 mini-Snickers bars. I will return the unopened bag for a refund next week when I do my grocery shopping. I gave the leftover snickers to my daughter to add to her collection.
