Who watches Windfall?

I've been following the show, although I think it had better potential than what it turned out to be. The season finale is this Thursday - or it's supposed to be. It turns out the Chicago NBC affiliate is going to be airing a Bear pre-season game instead. :eek: :confused: I mean it's the last episode, andd I don't see it being shown on any other day/time. The show really wasn't all that exciting, but since I invested this much time watching, I sure did want to spend one more hour to see how it ends. Anyone elsewhere in the country facing the same problem?

I agree...this show started out with a lot of potential but really isn't much these days. With that said, I feel compelled to keep watching it!!! I tivo it each week and for some reason this past Thursday didn't record...was it a rerun? I would be happy to give you a synopsis of the season Finale next week!

No it wasn't a repeat - it was where Sonny confessed to Peter that she lied about the lottery, and Sean came to the ex-nurse (forgot her name) for help with the bullet wound. The episodes are probably online, but I don't want to watch an hour that way. Thanks for the offer of the synopsis, but I can probably read it on the website too.

I love Windfall, and definitely one of my favorite shows to tune into. I love the premise of the whole show, but think they're dragging the Shaun always on the run thing and the Freddie and Damian thing on a little long. I couldn't believe that Sunny told Peter that she lied about the lottery thing. Their season is over already? Yikes - that was fast!

sometimes networks will re-air the same episode in the wee hours of the morning if something else kicks into the schedule. Perhaps you can search the local affiliate page to see if they have a re-air date for the final.

Having been invested in TV shows before, I understand your wanting to see the ending.

I watch it as my guilty pleasure. It is interesting and nice that there haven't been any reruns so far. So if the season finale is this week when will it start up again?

I keep checking the guide on Directv and they only show the East and West NBC feeds, which we don't get because of locals. They list the show as being on Sunday at 10:30 am and another date for the East, I think Sept. 1 for the West. :( :eek:

Thanks so much! When I checked their site the other day, there was nothing there. I even sent them an email asking about the finale, but never heard back. Thanks again. I'm pretty sure it will be a letdown, and from what I have heard, the show is cancelled, so I don't know why I am so interested. ;) :rolleyes: :o I'll have to manually set the TIVO now.

Well, I TIVO'd from 1:00 am to 4:00 am this morning and it wasn't on - they replayed the Bears game. :( Even the nightly news mentioned it would be on at 1:35 am, so I figured it really would air then. I'll check out the website on NBC to get a recap, but was anyone able to watch it last night after all?

Not that anyone probably cares here, but the latest is that it will air tonight at 1:35 am Sat. Sept. 2. Off to set the TIVO. I can't remember the last time I was so anxious to see a show end. It's cancelled for good.

I'd be curious to see the finale. Its a short season because its just one of those summer shows to fill in as something new. I'll also be glad to not be tempted to watch it anymore! It started off sounding interesting - the idea of following so many big money lotto winners and possible bizarre life choices. But it just kept getting more and more disappointing to me that I've barely watched the last few episodes, its just painful. I agree with other posters about being tired of the dragging on story lines of a few characters, and then the whole trashing sactity of marriage, and other commitments in life just got on my nerves too. I want to see something good happen to the pizza delivery/single mom character.
So..... I'd be curious to see how the show wraps. Wonder when it will be on :rolleyes:

I was rooting for her too, but they seemed to drop that storyline fast. Last few episodes she befriended Beth, and nothing on her son. :(

The Russian bride storyline was just useless, and cliche. :rolleyes:

Odds are that you may also be able to find it replayed on Bravo. They did show the Emmy Awards again after they aired on NBC.

The 1:35 was in the Chicago market. I checked my TIVO and is was on. I'm sure it was pathetic ;) but I'm not expecting it to be anything but. I just want to see the finale. :o


On Directv's guide, there is an East coast feed that shows it airing at 11:30 am central time on Sunday morning, but we don't get that channel due to locals.

Brykate, you may want to go to your local NBC affiliate do a search for the show - that's how I found the new time.
