I'm sure it isn't as harsh as it sounds. She probably was looking to do other things, as the article indicates (books, speeches, etc). This headline just is better for the ratings. I'm a fan of The Apprentice and have watched all the seasons so far, and will watch the next, but the ratings have been going down.

I think if it is the case that she wanted to do other things anyway, it would have been more of a mutual decision. I get the feeling here that she was trying to juggle too much, and wasn't giving her job the attention Trump probably thought it needed. To be fired implies that she had no idea that this was going to happen, IMO, and from the way the article's written, I don't get a sense that she was expecting this to happen. If she was OK with the decision, and it was mutual, I'm sure they would have interviewed her for it.

I liked the 'posh Westchester County' reference. I grew up in that area and was back for a family gathering last weekend. There's more 'non-posh' than 'posh' IMHO. I know that the neighborhoods where I was raised are not what they were 40 years ago.
