I am in serious need of inspiration to get back into my healthy lifestyle I once had...about a month ago I skipped a few mornings at the gym (which ended up being the last time I went) and when I am at the gym I feel it is easier to eat right. It is like I am on a roller coaster and it just won't end. Does any of this make sense? HELP??????

Angel,
I'm not trying to dismiss your plea by sending you off to another link, but there was a thread about this a week or so ago, and it may be pretty helpful. Good luck! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum2/HTML/000137.html

Emily,
Thank you for your advice I did go and check out that info. I was not aware of the recent topic. But it does make me feel good to know others are going through the same thing.
Thanks again http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Angel, its you and me, Babe. The motivation zonkers! Hey, I have an appointment Wednesday with the DR about my tiredness for the past (now) 8 weeks. I plan to add my lack of motivation for exercise among my complaints.

I've discovered one way to get your rear out the door...get (or borrow) a dog. We have been dog sitting for the holiday week and this large energetic dog has made me move my bottom a lot more. But, I'll be glad when his Mommy and Daddy come get him tomorrow. He has way too much energy. I don't know how parents manage, cause kids have just as much energy.

Thanks for the idea. I did go to the gym this afternoon. It took alot to get me there. I think I was coming up with a million excuses why not to go...maybe I should work on a project, do laundry (imagine that http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif)

But I went and I feel good. The real test is if I can get motivated to go tommorow. I hope everything goes good for you with your doctors appt. I can't really figure out why I am so tired and not motivated also. I do know when I get back to going to the gym, eating better just seems to follow and my energy level increases.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and as I said earlier it is nice to know others go through the same thing

I hope your walk was nice. It is beautiful out today. I am in Waco Texas and it is great outside. It really makes it easier to get motivated. I am on day 2 on going to the gym (I have made it here before, tomorrow is going to be the real test...Monday Morning UGH..)

Keep me posted on your road back to your "routine". Originally posted by kwormann:

Hey there I find one of the best ways to keep motivated is to have an active support network around you. If you have friends who are also trying to achieve the same things then it is so much easier.

I have found that since I have started to make new friends on-line that my motivation to exercise and lose weight has gone throught the roof.

Scaredsammy,
Thank you for the advice and web page I'll have to check it out. I am on day 3 of the gym. I know it is not really that big of a deal but it is a step in the right direction to me.

Angel, don't forget to take it one day at a time. If you don't accomplish what you want on one day, the next is a whole new start!
Good luck!
