Oh my I can't remove the mixer bowl -- which way does it turn at least -- any hints -- this is a catastrophe.
Try giving it a quick jerk - to the right. Hope that works!

Crisis averted -- I squirted the bottom with some TruFlo and then moved it -- I don't remember which way frankly because I was so frantic -- but the cake is out of the bowl and into the oven.
I think I will call KA and ask what caused it to stick -- It's not as if Mr. Macho put in place before -- maybe I shouldn't keep it locked in place for a period of time? Maybe I should cleanse the bottom often to prevent minute amounts of batter to cause friction in the grooves.
I had fantasies of mailing the KA back for servicing complete with batter. :D

Mine sticks every so often also. I just give it a quick jerk to the right like ADM said. Maybe I need to spray it with some non-stick spray before using :p

I have found that if there is any remnant of anything in the base of the mixer, the bowl will stick. So, now I 'm a bit anal about cleaning the bottom off well after I finish using my mixer.
Glad to hear you were able to save your batter!!! You were almost guilty of cake-abuse!!! :D

Yes, mine used to stick as well. It was always due to spilt batter, so now I clean it really well after every use. I've also had trouble getting the mixing attatchments on for the same reason, batter being stuck in that spring thing, so now I clean that with a toothbrush and dish soap.
