Hey everyone - I thought I'd wait and see if someone else started the thread since I closed up the last one. Oh well. ;)

Saturday - Upper body exercises, F Calorie Killer, Core exercises and C Total Body Stretching Ball Stretch 2

Sunday - Lower body exercises, T Speed Interval Level 4 mod 45 min, 5 min side walk, Core exercises and F 5 day Stretch Day 1.

And we got the girls out both days and got them to work a little bit once with the fore cart and once with the wagon. :D Oh and let me not forget that I got DH to help clean the windows in the living room while we watched the F1 race. Truely a successful weekend all around.

Tonight is a upper body work, not sure what tape, core exercises and F 5 day stretch day 2.

Tomorrow AM is the annual physical and all the fun that entails along with a mammogram. Sounds like fun huh?

So how was your weekend, and what do you have planned for the coming week?

I'm moving next week! And I am so very not ready. The pets' important paperwork is floating around somewhere in NY state right now. I sent it to Albany this morning for the official signatures and I absolutely MUST have it back by Saturday. Or they won't be coming with me. :(

The trip to MI was great. We girls haven't actually been together for more than a few hours (weddings excluded) in almost 5 years! We went on a trail walk on Friday, and a short walk on Saturday. But I think we ate really well. Lots of vegetables and healthy foods.

They won't change my interview date (not quite sure why they offered me one in the first place then). I think it is for the best - it built my confidence a little bit by not being rejected, but it saves me from having to be realistic about our finances and turn down the offer (if one were ever made).

I have no idea how much exercise I'll get this week. I'm mostly focusing on staying sane for the next few days. Maybe I'll take Weston out for a couple of jogs. Can someone nag me throughout the week, to keep me off my butt? Thanks guys.

Michelle - We were in Ann Arbor. It will be fun to see your improvement over the coming weeks and months. You've been doing a really good job working out, I'm sure that progress will come fast. Good luck at your physical tomorrow!

Yeah Carrie - Thanks for checking in as now I don't feel so lonely.

Last night I did upper body work (can I say I hate tricep dips  ), then I did F Advanced Cardio Blast ....what a waste can I say that BSS3 was the worst IMHO...I followed that up with core exercises which went very poorly and had me reduced to tears before I was half done :( Then it was F 5 day stretch day 2 Thank god for Sandahl. I love her.

Today was the full workup at the doc's so I should be good for another year. ;)

Tonight on the schedule is lower body, treadmill, core and F 5 day stretch day 3.

Carrie - I have my fingers crossed that you get the pet paperwork through. That would be awful to have to leave them behind because some paperpusher was slow. Glad to hear that you had a good (and healthy) time in Ann Arbor. I had a great uncle who got his maritime engineering degree there. I say you and Weston should go outside and enjoy the fall weather. Have fun! :D

Anyone else want to chime in?

We just got internet installed at home approx. 20 minutes ago and I'm back! :D No exercise in about forever. I intended to jump back on the wagon after Labor Day weekend (ie birthday celebration mega-weekend) and then I came down with this supremo-nasty cold that morphed into bronchitis. I've been coughing SOOOO bad and the antibiotics don't seem to be making a dent in it. :( My entire core hurts from the cough-till-you-gag moves I've been doing. Hopefully it starts to improve soon... until then, no exercise for me.

The new job is awesome, but I don't have internet there. Probably for the best, since I should be putting my best foot forward, eh?? ;)

Hi guys!!

I had an awesome time at the US Open last week. Busy weekend and my mom has been here since Monday helping me paint Sam's room and organize Jack's room (curtains etc..) so that's why I'm MIA for a bit this week. I'll try to check in tomorrow some time with personals.

You all sound like you're doing great - especially you Michelle!!! ;)

Carrie - I can't believe you leave next week!!

Emily - yea! Good to see you back - we missed you!!

No formal exercise for me although my back is killing me from all the stretching etc... with painting/cleaning etc.

Bye for now!!!

Well after everything (rather disappointing #'s from the bloodwork  ) I decided to take last night as a rest night. And you know what ... now my knee feels so much better. Who'd of thunk? ;)

Tonight the trainer comes so we'll see what happens.

Charisse - glad you had fun at the open and also that you got so much home decorating done. Might I suggest a warm epsom salt bath for those sore and tired muscles?

Emily - So happy to hear that the new job is a winner. Hope you can get rid of that cough, it's no fun (I know from experience).

Well That's it for me on hump day - take care all. :)

Hey everyone - or maybe it's just me, oh well I'm used to talking to myself :p

Last night the trainer came over and we reviewed all the exercises she had given me to check for form and make adjustments, etc. Wow! I really needed some tweaking  By the time she left I couldn't lift my left arm up to shoulder level. Thank goodness this morning it moved albeit painfully :o but enough to get dressed by myself.

Tonight I plan on doing leg work, cardio, core and stretching.

Anyone else?

I here! Weston and I went walking last night. It got cut short by rain though. It's raining again today, but maybe it will ease off by this evening and we can spend some outside time.

I got a call from a recruiter today, she's putting me forward for a scientist job (ooooh, ahhhhh). And when I expressed a desire to start working as soon as possible, because I've never been unemployed before, she said she thinks that will not be a problem with my background. :D

I'll try to do personals when I get back from lunch. It's my good-bye lunch today.

I'm here :D , just a bit overwhelmed with work and home stuff.

Engineer, sounds like the trainer is quite effective! What types of exercises is she having you do that would make you so sore? Just curious! Is it a heavier weight than you are used to?

Carrie, have fun at your lunch! Sounds like you'll have no problem getting a job. Everything is falling into place!

Charisse, good to hear the US Open was fun. Have fun decorating! And, it's great to have mom helping!

Hi Emily! Glad to hear the job is good, but hope you feel better soon! If I didn't have Internet here, I'd be much more productive.

Let's see...exercise? I'm not sure when I posted last. I'll start backwards :p . Today I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3 (fun!) and I tried out an iballet workout from itrain. I have a feeling my legs will be very sore tomorrow. It was a core and legs workout. I really neglect working my core and it shows :( . I have three of these on my mp3, so I'm going to try to do them 2-3 times a week. Yesterday I did the Buff Girl Workout at the gym. New teacher...not as good of a class. Tuesday I think I did Rhythmic Step. Monday I did a Christi Taylor hi/lo in the morning and the sculpting class at the gym.

Life is going to get even more hectic. Jameson's soccer team is finally going to start their season with two games on Sunday, Colin is on a different soccer team and Ian is going to be in Oliver, a play our park district is doing. Their first practice is Sunday for four hours. I think they also practice two nights a week for three hours. I need to be really sure he wants to do this before we commit to it. And, Caitlyn starts back into gymnastics and so does Ian.

OMG Joanne! My life is busy with just 2 active boys!!! I don't know how you're getting it all done AND exercising!!!! You're my candidate for Super Mom! :)

Carrie- yee haw on the job front!!! That sounds awesome and nice to know that your recruiter believes in your talents!!

Engineer - Keep on posting - we're here in some capacity or another!! ;) How many more weeks do you have the trainer?

Ack - still no exercise for me yet! My eating has not been great - while my mom was here we went out for lunch a couple of times (granted we had salads but I still ate way more than I normally do at lunch time) plus I had Bunco last night - ate a lot!! Need to get back into MY routine!

My baby turns 7 on Monday! So hard to believe. We're having a small party on Sunday for him - he can't wait!! :)

Off to make some chicken corn noodle soup for dinner - I work at the school tomorrow so I probably will see everyone next week!

Have a great weekend!!! :)

I'm here , just a bit overwhelmed with work and home stuff.
Ah, I second that. My mother's surprise 50th b-day party was on Monday. It was quite tedious to plan, esp. since I've been so sick. But it went off without a hitch and every thing was perfect! We had over 50 guests and she never suspected a thing. YAY! So no workout for me on Monday. Tuesday I did a 2.5 mile run at lunch which was wonderful! Yesterday was Tae bo and I'm not sure what today has in store. I'm waiting on 2 calls from doctors b/c some funky stuff is going on. If I don't make it in for any visits today, I'm thinking it will be another run. Our weather has been gorgeous - 75 and sunny. :) We have supper club tonight so my fanny needs to do something!

You gals have been busy!!

Charisse - Sounds like you've been extremely productive. Are the rooms completely finished? Glad you had a great trip with your sis. :)

Engineer - TG physicals are only once a year, right? ;) Sounds like the trainer is definitely whooping you in shape, esp. if you cna't lift your arms. How was driving?

Carrie - That's great news on the job front! Hopefully the recruiter will be speedy and the right job will present itself. Have fun with Weston tonight, weather permitting of course. :) Any word on the paperwork?

Emily - Glad to see you!!! Hope your cruddy cold is clearing up!

Joanne - Reading your busy schedule wore me out! Shew, I'll second that Super mom nomination. Great job keeping up with your workouts amongst all that's going on.

I am definitely ready for the weekend! :P

Nancy, hope nothing serious is going on. Are the headaches gone? OK, I'm only six years younger than your mother! I'm feeling a bit old! Not that your mother is old, of course! Sounds like the party was great, but I'm sure it's nice to have the stress of planning it over.

Charisse, you have two boys, right? My youngest boy is 7, but I have a 4-year old girl. I just can't imagine them all growing up. Sometimes you just want to freeze time!

This might sound weird, but I think it's because of my crazy schedule and all the running around we do with the kids that I work out. I love doing stuff with them, but I need time for myself. And, I need to feel like I'm doing something for me, too. So, my workout in the morning takes care of that. Then, I'm all theirs. And, my job's, of course  .

Joanne, thanks for asking. :) I"m not sure what's up with me right now. I pretty much have a dull constant headache all the time. But now my vision is getting screwy - straining to focus, hurts to open my eyes, etc. And to boot, my periods are all out of whack even though I'm on the BCP. That could just be my meds though. The OBGYN has me coming in for my annual tomorrow and we'll go from there.

And I remember you said that second part before. I think I've taken it as inspiration and motivation for myself. :) Because we're mommy, wife, daughter and employee it's a great reason to take time for ourselves and blow off some steam.

I should have done my personals earlier! So many people have posted today.

Joanne - You sound super busy. I hope your kids know what a good mom they've got. Could you use the itrain workouts for regular running? I looked at the site and they mentioned "monthly", does that mean that the MP3 self-destructs in 30 days?

Emily - How are you feeling? I hope your cough clears up soon and you can get back into the exercise groove. I'm glad to see that you're back online.

Charisse - I hope you had a great week with your mother. It sounds like you got a lot accomplished this week.

Michelle - The difference between doing an exercise correctly and doing it with poor form is, like, 10 reps! It's so hard to do things properly. ;) Will watching your eating help with your bloodwork numbers? Maybe they can serve as motivation for your healthy lifestyle.

Nancy - I hope your doctors help you get things straightened out soon. I'm so proud of you for working out through all of this, just don't push yourself too hard. I got my paperwork back. I had myself so bent out of shape about it that when I finally got it back, I forgot to let the people who let me vent to them know. :o

I guess that's it. Tomorrow's my last day of work. Weston and I WILL get out and do something this weekend; the rain is supposed to let up.

Carrie, you can subscribe to itrain on a monthly basis and get, I think, 5 downloads per month for $9.99, or you can buy them one at a time. Or, I think you can pay a one-time fee of like $50 for a year and get an unlimited number. You download them to your computer and then to your MP3. So, you can keep them as long as you like. I also downloaded one for cycling and one for the elliptical that I'll get around to trying one of these days!

This morning I did the first halves of two Christi Taylor's step tapes, Step Heaven and Still Steppin'. Her tapes are so fun. Really good music.

I think I'm going to take a couple rest days. My back is feeling kind of achy. I might take Tully for a run either tomorrow or Sunday, though. There probably won't be too many nice weekends left before winter.

Nancy, hope your doctors can figure out the best treatment for you so you can feel better. Take it easy!

Carrie - how's your last day of work going? Hopefully the lunch was yummy and spectacular! Great news on the papers - one less thing to worry about! Get out there with Weston and get going!! :p and thanks for being proud :o :)

Joanne - 2 step tapes in one morning??? You go girl! Take a day or two off, you deserve it!

AS for me I ran 2.5 miles yesterday at lunch. I have my dr.appt this afternoon so no lunch time exercising for me. I'm hoping to get DS out in the stoller lots this weekend b/c I hear it will beautiful.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Well this is late getting in today but better late than never right? :o

I didn’t get the new plan from my trainer before I did my workout last night so I followed the old protocol just with the form pointers/modifications we’d worked on the night before. I did lower body work followed by a treadmill workout for my cardio. It was only a 30 minute program but that’s when it hit me – I hadn’t had enough protein and I was feeling really drained. I followed that up with 5 minutes of sidewalking on each side and then I did my core exercises. I think they took me twice as long between the lack of protein and the form corrections/modifications. I followed that up with F 5 day stretch day 3.

Tonight is grocery shopping so that we have the weekend to do stuff…exercise and work horses. :D

Nancy - Here's hoping that you can find something out about what's going on with your body, and that they get it straightened out. But I will say you are an inspiration with everything you do. Parties, exercise, work, etc. Running and TaeBo are great cardio keep it up.

Joanne - I love step but my knee has not been so cooperative lately so I've had to lower the step. You have certainly earned the rest days with everything you've been doing. Hope your back feels better. (oh and I'm only a little ways behind you at 42)

Carrie - I hope your last day of work was good. And that the weather hold so that you and Weston can get out and burn off some puppy energy. I really am so happy to hear that the pet paperwork came through so that isn't hanging over your head. Oh and what an ego massage to have the recruiter say that - lovely. Not that it isn't well deserved I might add.

Charisse - I know that you'll be exercising again in no time once the schedule gets worked out. Oh and is there a theme for the birthday party? Have a piece of cake for the gluten intollerent one (me).
