Young couple wants to start supper club on SF Peninsula

We are a recently marrried couple looking to meet nice people and to start a supper club. Couples or singles, it doesn't matter. Prefer youngish (20s/30s) or young at heart. :)

We are located in Foster City and thought it'd be nice to start one on the Peninsula, but if there's no local interest we could do South Bay. Anyone interested in helping us start one up? We want to start cooking more now that we have nice pots/pans/knives from the wedding!

I read your posting and I have to say you sound similar to my husband and I! =) My husband and I are also recently married, we're 30 and live on the Peninsula in Palo Alto. We love good food and wine and I love to cook (and he's a good helper!) and we'd love to find a supper club to meet new friends in the area and enjoy great food!

Have you started another club or did you attend the Oct. 7 dinner that I saw posted (in Pacifica I think). I've also emailed the person who started the thread about this supper club. Hope something works out!

hello, my husband and i are planning a cooking club dinner on december 9 in palo alto. we are in our mid-20s. we were part of a club that stopped meeting, but now that our wedding planning (phew!!!) is over we were hoping to get things rolling again (we got married in october).

Hi there! I've been emailing the couple who lives in Foster City expressing interest in starting a cooking club for young couples in their 20's/30's or people who are young at heart give or take a few years! =) Age isn't a huge issue, but I think it's nice to be around the same age/stage in life because it's easier to relate. Anyway, to the couple living in Palo Alto...glad to hear you're having a dinner on Dec. 9th - my husband and I would've loved to have come but we're going to be at a holiday party. I guess it's hard around the holidays but we'd love to make it to the next one. Do you already have a group formed or...???

Here's a little bit about me (Sarina) and my husband (Justin). We got married last Summer (June 2005) so we're also recently married and we moved to the Peninsula for Justin's job. We also live in Palo Alto - we're renting a townhome in the midtown area. I am 30 and my husband's 29. I was born and raised in the Bay Area (East Bay) and my husband is from Boston. We love good food and wine! We thought it would be fun to be a part of a supper club because we love food and wine and also we'd love to meet new fun people in the area!

I've read your postings about a supper club for the Peninsula area and I'd like to invite you to join a recently formed group. Our members are from the upper peninsula and we've met only once (Yes, the October dinner in Pacifica). Our next dinner is scheduled for December 2 in Hillsborough. There's those who are young at heart...and those who are in the age group 20/30's. Our interests are interesting conversation & good food...and making some good friends.
