This has been a favorite show of mine since it started. I love ending my weekend with such a feel good show. I have been crying through tonight's show, possibly more than ever before. The love of this family for each other and especially the boys for their mother is absolutely amazing!

Anyone else watch?

I never miss it. But of all nights for me to tape it. Thanks for the warning. I will have 2 box of tissue handy. I thought last week was the premier, but tv guide says tonight is. I'm confused. But I did miss Ty last week. I love him, but I don't like to see him do the Master Bedroom. I think his work is too manish. Even when it is a single mom. What do you think?

This was a great episode. Ty didn't do the master bedroom as his secret project this time. And the room he did wasn't real "manish" looking. I hope you taped for 2 hours as it was a 2 hour show.

Well, I guess it depends on your style. I don't think most of his masters are manish but I like modern clean lines and would hate a frilly room. This week was the season premiere, last week was a special episode but they didn't call it the premiere. I think its semantics. :p

That was an AMAZING family. Their story moved me much more than most on this show, although they all have been touching in their own way.

I kept laughing at the ENERGY those boys had. It was all positive energy, but there was A LOT of it and I have no idea how their mom ever keeps up with them!

If that woman can accomplish what she has with those kids with what little she had, most of the rest of us have no excuse whatsoever. Very inspiring and humbling.

I should have recorded that to watch whenever I'm feeling sorry for myself. It's all in your attitude.

I like this show a lot but I have a question---do you think these folks that get the new houses run into problems like those prize winners do? Taxes or especially an increase in property taxes? I'm just wondering if any of these people that were having trouble making ends meet have trouble staying in their houses due to increased property taxes or increased utlity bills, etc.?

Just wondered. I know sometimes I have seen shows where someone will donate money to pay for upkeep, etc.---but not all the time.

I read an article last year about this. Several families that have had homes built/rennovated by the show have had to sell. They either get slammed by the taxes or the utilities or other upkeep costs. I think what they do is generous and heartfelt, but it isn't a perfect solution. I think this is also why we see more and more often someone picking up the tab for the original mortgage, college, etc - so they can afford to keep their new home.
